I could see things getting moved around behind the scenes should Usyk retire. What are the chances that Pulev (the regular belt holder) fights Wladimir for the title? My understanding of the WBA rules is that it is not required for the Super belt to exist; therefore, it wouldn't go vacant. Instead, the regular title becomes the full title.

The WBA previously allowed Joshua v Klitschko for their vacant title. So why not Pulev v Klitschko? Turki likely has enough sway to make it happen...

Supposedly he was going to comeback in Summer of 2020 but Covid ended that. It’s too late now. He was rusty as heck against Joshua and was very off target with his punches throughout the fight. He won’t be any better now.

Klitschko vs Wilder would be a damn good fight. I think Wlad could box his way to a UD, but that assumes he’d keep a tight enough defense for the 2-3 windmills that Wilder would throw during 12 rounds.

And I agree that Wlad’s biggest issue was always his mentality. He was taught well to fight at distance, but man, that guy would fall apart the moment he got caught with anything decent, especially God forbid someone threw 2 or more punches! His body is the one factor that would even allow us to entertain the thought of him returning.

Wlad embarrassed Wilder so bad in camp that it came as no surprise they turned down a Klitschko fight.

Ohhh man… Watching Jake eat a Wlad 1-2 would be sooooo satisfying to watch. That KO would be the most replayed and viewed clip in boxing history. Yes… in history.

That is until tank davis gets clipped. :)

Lol!! Uhhh… wouldn’t be the one that would need to somehow survive for 12 rounds and “Keep it tight” in that one. If wilder thought Zhang’s right hook cracked him hard…

I would not want to see this, though. To me, he would not be breaking Foreman's record of oldest champ regardless, because Foreman was linear. But some people on here would still make the claim, and it would really not be fair to put him against a guy who is washed up for a vacant ABC title that is about as legit as the WWE championship.

I would love to see this just for the simple fact of compromising the authority of the alphabet bodies even more.

Wlad was a front running BULLY who needed the deck stacked in his favour in such a lopsided manner that that was the only way he felt mentally comfortable against men he towered over and out weighed by 40lbs already

Fight Ortiz fight Pulev have his successful comeback then call it a day again he shouldn’t be fighting for a world title or fighting young hungry fighters.

Fury would seriously and I mean seriously hurt Wlad if this were to happen, which it won’t.

IF he was to return then I could see a Wilder fight happen simply because Wilder is shot to smithereens

That this fight is even being considered is ridiculous.

I agree with you; it will just be a marketing stunt. Say what you want about Old George's defences, but Moorer beat Holyfield for the lineage. George's victory is stuff of legend. And catapulted him into hearts, minds, and kitchens around the globe. Much deserved
