Hey everyone just wondered if anyone could help...

Im flying out with 3 mates for the fight on saturday morning.
Whats the best way to get from Dusseldorf (weeze airport) to Gelsenkirchen?
Also we have no accommodation yet and were wondering is it possible to get back to Dusseldorf after the fight and stay the night there?

The names of any train stations etc would be very helpful.

    Cheers.

No i only know the very basics in german.

I guess they'll still be british people going to the fight and we'll be able to follow them, but i was more concerned about the accommodation in regards is it better to book something in Gelsenkirchen or can you still travel back to Dusseldorf after the fight and book somewhere there?

Weeze is hardly in Düsseldorf, it's borderline Netherlands. You should inform well in advance when you are landing and IF there is a bus at this time AT ALL. If you land like at 4 in the night your are simply f*cked and depend on a taxi.

    This is an example:

Airport Airpark, Weeze Sa, 20.06.09 11:27->11:43 Bus73Air Bus to Kevelaer Bahnhof (railway station)

Kevelaer railway station Sa, 20.06.09 11:51->12:24 Train RE 10033 Regional-Express to Krefeld Main Station

Krefeld Hbf Sa, 20.06.09 12:42->13:23 3 RE 10217 Regional-Express to Gelsenkirchen Main Station

We leave weeze on sunday at 20.35 again no ttoo late.

I just want to make sure i have a detailed plan of how to get around and where to book accommodation!

    thanks again everyone.

I can only urge you to get to Gelsenkirchen in time. You should plan to go there immediately, look for a beer garden or pub with restaurant or some sports bar there not too far from the stadium (so you can go by foot), and plan to get into the stadium at least 45 minutes to an hour before the main fight. Entrance controls should be very strict and will need a lot of time when many people go late skipping the undercard.
