I think the german crowds are pretty typical of germans are they not?

Good job by Wlad, was never going to be an exciting fight because Rahman is limited and past his best. Wlad's jab is so powerful it is capable of Knocking out fighters with shakey chins. It is also still as consisitent and accurate since his last win.

Next up for Wlad is Povetkin.
Next up for Rahman is retirement.

The ring canvas isn't too bad, i really don't like the dark blue ring's in the state's i prefer the sky blue ring's from the 80's,
What do you think about Hayemaker's Black Ring Canvas?

I really hope to god the Haye/Klitschko fight is in England, every fight ive watched in Germany seems to have an awful non-existant atmosphere, not that Wlad gives them much to get excited about :-(

I'm not a huge fan of Woodhall to be honest, commentary wise

What a crap fight, Rahman was horrible and Wlad so, so boring and risk averse

The atmosphere at these German fights is just so sterile... all the middle class, middle aged people at ringside are in dinner suits and probably go to Opera straight after

    All in all utter ****

This last year has been a test of my position on Wlad.

have always been a fan but he is starting to actually bore me. He is a class boxer, clearly a cut above everyone else technically, but he is so cautious it's unreal.

Not watching anymore of his fights unless I think his opponents will at least try to force him to fight.

I'm not happy, and fail to see how anyone could enjoy the fight. Enjoy the exhibition of Wlads skills, but not the fight itself. It was plodding and unremarkable. The most extraordinary thing about it is that it took Rahman 7 rounds to be stopped.

Rahman looked ready to go in the 3rd...for all the stick Lewis has been taking in General about his commentary, he was absolutely right - Wlad had almost no body attack whatsoever, just jab-hook-jab-jab-right-jab-jab all the time when Rahman's body was wide open.

If he'd switched his attack downstairs, went for body and head, he could've ended things quicker. I think he simply gave Rahman and his punch too much respect and was happy to just chip away without pushing things. Safe, but you're not going to convert the masses.

But then, Wlad and Vitali have such big followings in Europe they can probably just say to hell with the US and not worry about it.

Bottom line - it frustrates, because I'm sure Wlad is capable of more, and he's holding himself back.

Agree totally, the atmosphere is clinical - it's like putting on a boxing show by numbers - you wouldn't have Monte Barrett [Sp.] Vaulting the top rope and landing on his head! It's not in the choreography!

As for the fight, yip, the jab is good and the tactic of spoiling by clinching if your opponent dares come inside works. Then it's find your distance and throw the odd thundering right. If your opponent has no movement - has that been ten stooges in a row or is that unkind - then you'll always win. Where the fu** is a young Tyson (elbows forearms and all) when you need him?

If Haye can work inside then who knows; but the problem might be actually getting inside. Haye might just go charging in and it might end up a wrestling match. If that happens, Klithschko will sap his strength, push him off and score with that jab. Not to forget the odd right or two. Don't know if I'd want to witness that fight; plus it would probably be held in Dr Steelhammer's bunker.
