Agree. Look, Pierre had a good chin, no doubt. But better than Vitali? I don't think so. Bowe himself didn't have the greatest chin either ... just saying.
Don't tell me you think he won by low blow. Bowe de-constructed his face in a fight Coatzer didn't win a 10 stretch of. Not even Foreman could dent the chin of Coatzer. And Coatzer went right into that fight after Bowe. Rushing into another fight so soon after the Bowe beat down ended his career imo.
Coetzer was competitive for a good few rounds vs Bowe. And yes, low-blowing him was pathetic. But, much as I like my fellow South Africans, either Klitschko >> Coetzer, who really, let's be honest, was a modest puncher and was pretty much there to get hit.
I post purely by what i saw. Wlad couldn't keep the slow as a sloth Peter at bay. In both fights. You're not beating any Bowe if you have to run and hold to survive Peters.
For all his shortcomings the one thing that Bowe should not be faulted for is his chin. The man was never stopped and only beaten by an ATG whom he beat twice. He was battered from pillar to post by Golata but kept fighting. He took shots from men like Hide, Gonzalez, and Holyfield yet won those fights. As for Coetzer having a better chin than VITALI FREAKIN' KLITSCHKO?... That's just pathetic... The only men Coetzer ever fought who could crack stopped him.. Well he did rise off the canvas to beat Johnny Duplooy in what was a very entertaining fight. But seriously??
I hate to argue with Mr Magoo, because I may just come short But Bowe was dropped a fair number of times. His heart was fantastic, and he fought on after kissing canvas. There's a difference
Heart does little good if you don't have the tools to back it. Heart won't make your face stand up to a crushing impact any better. And in 45 professional fights Bowe was dropped by two men, Holyfield and Golata.. One of them being an ATG while the other was a significant hitter who fought dirty and caught Bowe when his career was on the decline.. Neither were able to finish him.. Bowe's chin is solid.. Especially considering he had no defense and took more leather than most men ever taste in a career.
I think that Wlad cracks harder than either Golota or Holyfield, and Vitali isn't far behind. Being easy to hit against them is a bad, bad place to be. But, fair enough, I will concede your point, his chin is solid. I could have sworn he was dropped several times in the ams, but cannot for the life of me remember who did it or even if I am right.
