Brewster is a bad dude....But Wlad seemingly is getting better under the Kronk's watch...Id love to see Lamon with a belt because I think he can hang with everyone in the division as well as anybody else currently in the HW division....however one has to think did Wlad take this fight thinking im getting a rusty fighter coming off a loss and career threatening injury or did he take this fight thinking i need revenge and i can truly beat this guy

i dont think lamon will be short on conditioning or heart or confidence coming in to this one

No, I don't feel that Brewster has Wlad's number. Also it is obvious that Wladimir hasn't had problems in sparring, as it wouldn't be coming from some poster on a russian forum... it would be everywhere if it had actuall happened. Also, Wladimir's press conference transcript is all over the internet including his site, and it mentions nothing of what you "heard" that it did. Wladimir, his brother, and Manny Steward all agreed that Wladimir training went great and he is at his peak right now. They wouldn't exactly be saying that the day that he was knocked out for the 3rd time in sparring now would they? Also, he is only light training this week... not even sparring so already that doesn't make sense.

no question about it. Brewsters said it again "he'd have to kill me". Just like the first time they fought.

I too wonder about Wlads mindset. What is he bringing into this fight. Is it revenge or is it i didnt really want to do it but they said i should...

But you know they could say anything on TV. I was watching Eurosports yesterday and the commentator said Jermain Taylor was the guy who KOd Roy Jones Jr...

Bull**** can come from any corner of the world. I don't think there is any way in hell anyone gets KO'ed 3 times in sparring. Once... maybe. They would send the sparring partner packing, too. A sparring partner is there to help the fighter get his reflexes and timing sharp, not check his chin.

I expect Wlad to stop Brewster this time around. He blew his wad too early in the first fight, and I think he's progressed a lot since then.

i feel this fight is not about skill at all. its about guts. thats why im wondering so much about Wlads motivation - WHY is he doing this rematch.

Because he wants to avenge a loss?
Many seem to forget that Wladimir floored Brewster in that first fight and was very close to stopping him but ran out of gas in the process. Wladimir has improved a lot since and will KO Brewster within 6 rounds of brutal action.

that would be great if thats his REAL motivation. its just that ive got this funny stomack feeling that he's too nice a guy. he better not be taking this fight as a boxing match. Cause Brewsters taking him to war. I wish he would wack Brewster as hard as he can as soon as he can be it the opening seconds of the first round even. Because if he's planning on boxing him calmly that just aint gonna work.

Brewster isn't going to be dictating this fight though. Wladimir and his jab are. Brewster can want to go to war all he wants, but if he can't get past Wlad's jab, then the only person he will be at war with is himself. Wladimir's movement and jab are going to be setting the pace of this fight. It will be his pinpoint power punching set up by that jab that ends the fight.

Of course Brewster is always going to be dangerous to anyone that he faces, and has the ability to turn fights around with one great shot... but that doesn't mean skill is out the window. If you go into a fight with him under that mindset, then you have already lost. Wladimir is going to stick to his game, which up until he gassed out against Brewster the first time was more than enough.

i dont mean throwing a thousend power punches in a desperate attempt to get him outta there as quick as possible. i mean smart punching but hard punching. Brewsters got to realise from the first minute that if he pushes to hard he's gone end up lying flat on the floor. No pitty-pat jabs and running around throwing light punches.

Brewster's cooked guys, he's taken x amount of brutal beatings and looks like **** right now.

This is a payday for Brewster and a perfect way for Wlad to avenge a fluke loss, Wlad in 4 rounds, Brewster's punch resistance has slipped also.

Of course, you'll see a ton of people impressed when Wlad takes this guy out relatively early and with ease, but it's the most realistic thing to happen actually.

I don't think Wlad got hit clean by Peter, and I don't think being hurt is what put him down. I think he took knockdowns for FEAR of taking a solid punch... definitely 2 of the knockdowns were not from clean blows. Who knows, if Brewster can put pressue on him, be might go into freakout mode again.

I'll be watching the fight. I have tons of respect for Brewster, but I just can't see him winning this fight. He definitely has toughness and heart in spades.

:rofl Ahhh... statements like this always makes me wonder why I miss this place so much. Those three huge punches by Peter were all knockdowns right? And they were the only 3 big punches that he has taken since he fought Brewster?

How about the FACT, that everyone knows only one of the knockdowns against Peter was actually legit? How about the fact that the biggest punches that Peter landed never put Wlad down or even hurt him when they fought. How about the fact that Wladimir has had 6 fights since he fought Brewster... and you are trying to tell people that he has only been hit hard 3 times in those 6 fights? Hell... Wlad must be the best defensive fighter of all time!
