    Haye got injured.

    **** happens.

He delayed the fight by 3 weeks. Didn't the same thing happen with Marquez when he had a hand injury not too long ago...I think against Rocky Juarez.

Nobody bitched then, and Rocky manned up and took his ass whuppin.

Klitschko really wants to punish Haye, and he'll get his chance in three weeks against a guy that probably won't be 100%.

If this fight doesn't happen, it's because Klitschko ducked him.

    End of story.

**** happens is the key point here.

I'm a Haye fan. I don't hate Wlad, I like him. The way I see it - he took a chance. Getting under Wlad's skin and pissing him off was the right thing to do from the point of view of the gate, and also the fight. But. Something like this could always de-rail the whole affair, of course. Give me a chance to **** over a man I hate and i'd probably do it. Wlad waited months to make the fight, as I understand it, now he has a chance to match a higher ranked opponent - that's the bottom line. Get the guy who he hates out of the way, get the nice guy who he doesn't hate who is rated higher into the box seat.

Given that he signed to fight Haye and is a favourite AND he's looking to take on somebody higher ranked AND you seem to have a healthy dose of bias in this matter, you'll forgive me if I don't take your word for that.

bull****. it's because Haye ducked Wlad since April, and Wlad's tired to wait any longer.

So if Haye is still wanna fight 7/11 - why not agree on
Wlad - Chagaev at 6/20 and
    Vitaly -Haye at 7/11 ?
    everybody happy :D

Haye might never fight again after Wlad.

In fact, that might be true BEFORE he fights Wlad.

You have to keep in mind who it is that's pulling out of this fight.

I have no doubt that he injured his hand like he says, but considering his bravado up till now, the fact that HE is the reason for the cancellation would seem to call for a bit of humility on his part.

Had Wlad injured his hand, the board would be awash with Klit-haters scorn.

Haye has the style and the technique to beat Wlad. Not only that, but he has speed and power, more speed than Wlad, and enough power to knock him out.

Chagaev is slow, southpaw, and a relatively average heavyweight.

The fact that he's southpaw will make it more difficult for him to jump in and find his range with his straight left, as Klitschko will play it safe from a distance.

And he doesn't have the power to really trouble Klitschko if he lands. Who wants to see this fight?

    It's a mismatch.

It may, actually, be a mismatch.

Chagaev looked jaded when he came back against Skelton all those months ago. He looked less than stellar last time out. But nobody knows. Here are some facts:

The Chagaev fight will be for The Ring belt.

Chagaev has done more at the weight.

So Chagaev is a higher rated heavyweight.

At his elusive best Chagaev is a better fighter than Haye in my opinion.

At his elusive best Chagaev has a better chance to beat Klitschko than Haye.

In all likelyhood, the higher rated HW here does have the lesser chance, but as a near objective observer I completely understand why Wlad might fight Chagaev instead of Haye, and I'll expect Haye to step up and re-earn his shot if that should happen.

Haye jumped the que. If he has to move to the rear, I think screaming "Ducker!" is juvenile.

The very fact that Haye fans would use the 'duck' word when their man is pulling out of the fight, tells you all you need to know about their objectivity.

    And their ****in' brains !
