No, he wouldn't turn into a star overnight. He may make a name for himself in the run up to the fight, because you're guaranteed something unusual from him. I think if he beat Wlad, the best move would be a defence against someone like Harrison or another big name. He has star potential but he needs time to mature, which is the entire issue with the fight - Chisora isn't ready, as a fighter or as a potential star. I agree we need one champion. I just don't agree with forcing him into it. A Vitali fight would be great and if Chisora pulls out the upset, he deserves a good cut of the money, which he isn't going to get. As the Klitschko's dominate, they can offer these contracts though.
While there are more deserving fighters (Solis, Boystov etc) the fact is those kind of fighters will NOT fight even if offered. Those fighters are not ready and are too early in their careers to take a fight (and a beating) with Klitschko. At the same time they are too LATE in their careers to take a fight at this time. If they lose they lose their well established and hard earned rankings and will have a tough time climbing back up the ranks. Chisora on the other hand is very premature and not rated highly so he's actually in a win - win situation. If he loses, it will be justified by his lack of experience and he can carry on the way he was before and has valuable experience behind him. If he wins...well happy days! Lol. But that's doubtful. Besides...It's nice to see a champ trying to stay busy nowadays and Chisora should put a good enough show (His cocky attitude and style coupled with Wlad's stand off approach should guarantee the fight to go a few rounds) Oh and I resent your comment that anyone who says Louis and Ali fought "bums" are idiotic ****s. It's the truth...Well atleast in Ali's case. He fought Spinks (and lost). It's not idiotic to observe this. It's a fact. With Louis...Well I don't think he really fought bums. Nobody like Spinks when he was champ.
Here's the dumbass acting like he's personally concerned that Chisora might not get a fair percentage of the proceeds should he happen to beat Wlad & have to fight Vitali................:rofl You should be his manager. Then he goes on to say a Vitali fight would be a good thing anyway.............but Chisora should be allowed an easy fight! The ****in' brazen stupidity & hypocrisy is astounding. Wladimir has fought the very best in division and he takes a stay busy fight against an undefeated puncher and that's a problem? But if Chisora should win he should be entitled to fight a bum rather than be forced to fight for unification. Think of how ridiculous that sounds...................
You're right, there is nothing I can do about it, which is why I choose to ignore you. I pity you as a person - not a poster, but a person. I think you're an unintelligent, pathetic person. I'm sick of your posts, which never add anything. I just hope you aren't the same in real life, genuinely. I feel the same about you, as I do about One Punch. You're a joke. A grown man who is so biased because of skin colour. You're not worth my time. How old are you? And don't you feel ashamed to post such drivel?
How do you know what, if any percentage is in the contract should Chisora win & have to fight Vitali? 50-50%? Did it say if you win you have to fight Vitali for nothing? Did they stipulate any amount at all?
I'm 43 & a great guy to have a beer & shoot the **** with Don't care if you like me either.................I'm not racist & anyone with half a brain will agree with me. My "drivel" makes good sense & your rant is full of **** & you've been served notice on it. How's it feel to be ridiculed so easily? 1. Wlad should be ashamed for fighting Chisora because that's too easy of an opponent. 2. The contract supposedly states that should Chisora win, he must fight Vitali for unification, and that's a bad thing. 3. Chisora should be allowed to defend against an easy opponent. 4. You assume that Chisora wouldn't get a fair share in any bout against Vitali for unification. 5. You are a hypocrite & a fool.
Solis--won't take the fight Arreola--injured, probably wouldn't take the fight Dimitrenko--wanted to push back the fight to Feb, will fight Sosnowski anyway Boystov-won't take the fight... Adamek/Haye/Povetkin--won't take the fight This leaves.... Tua-refused the initial Wlad offer Mormeck-refused the initial Wlad offer Gomez-fat out of shape but wants the fight, would be the worst oppo out of those named. Thompson--inactive, coming off surgery, destroyed by Wlad less then 2 years ago, but the best of the rest. By and large the fan base was even more critical of Wlad fighting Tua or Mormeck then the prospective fight with Chisora. It's pretty much a given that both Tua and Mormeck are shot--Wlad only wanted them because they are 'name' opponents. So that leaves Chisora or Thompson. Chisora is the more interesting fight, and it's the better business decision, given that a fight against Haye will most likely happen in 2011. It's total bull**** that this fight won't increase Wlad and Chisora's exposure in the UK--there will be plenty of media buildup to sell PPVs. Plus, Wlad's already done 2 mandatories this year....if Thompson beats a Top 10 guy then absolutely he should get another shot but before then Wlad is under no obligation to fight him. So seriously Jack, wtf is your problem? This issue has been discussed backwards and forwards on this board....there's nobody else out there for Wlad to fight.
I totally disagree. Knowing Del Boy, if he pulled off the upset he'd have clamped Haye right up and would gladly say enough about it. If he wasn't an automatic star which Sky will do a great job building him up for the fight, especially if he wins, then he will definitely be a household name when he starts mouthing off about Haye or worse, destroys Wlad. All fairytale notions though.
:yep Once again he will knock the **** out of a super worthy and dangerous opponent in spectacular fashion....:tired
Lewis didnt say ''you have to rematch me.....then my brother Jimmy as well'' did he? rematching someone and being forced to fight someones brother as well to keep the belts in the family is totally different (not that he has a brother jimmy)
i very much doubt this will be ppv in the uk, not unless warren gets to pack the undercard with the 2008 olympic medalists
