Mate, I like you, so don't resort to that "idiot" stuff, yeah? And I'm really please Klitschko wants to fight often. I made a long post a year or so ago, praising both Klitschko's for their impact on boxing and I mentioned this as one of the big positives. I'm really pleased they are active because it's great for the sport. That, I'm not bothered about. However, he could be active against a guy who has a 1% chance instead. I wouldn't be overly happy for the fight, no, but I would be far less pissed off about it, than a Chisora bout. Champions have been outclassed before but won rematches, so it's not impossible if Chagaev can learn. At least we know he's world class and can put up a fight. Chisora can't. Again, he's more likely to win than Chisora is. I don't want to see mismatches, unlike the likes of Ruskull who are happy to see a guy get destroyed. I would! Chisora would get beat inside 4 or 5 rounds. I looked it up and there are quotes of him saying he wants to fight the best. He's promoted by King now, right? I can't imagine King turning down a payday either. I agree, but he's better than Chisora. Not sure at all, mate.
Who was offered £200,000, mate? I presume there was a rematch clause too? These contracts really are poor. If the guy actually ****ing wins, he'll be defending the world heavyweight title for a TINY percentage of what he should be getting.
What excuse? Adamek is a natural LHW fighting at HW? Holyfield bulked up to from a cruiser to a decent size HW. The excuse that Marciano would be too small is not valid if he has the resources to bulk up above the 200+ limit.
Size is hugely overstated. It's not the only factor, like some think. Haye beating Valuev proves that and there are countless more examples out there.
Who happens to be avialable? Doubt he's the best available, but the HW division, being what it is, the guy has to fight.
There are still a few: Adamek Haye Valuez Povetkin But Adamek is busy, and Haye hasn't found his stones yet, Valuez is hurt, and Povetkin, apparently, is not ready.
I agree that Klitschko has to fight and I commend him for that. There are just better opponents out there, even guys he has dominated.
It's more a stay busy fight. No need to fight a retread just for familiar face value. And who's to say those he dominated want another crack? No one's come remotely close to beatin Wlad since Peter in the first fight.
Adamek couldn't handle Dawson and that was his roadblock, IMO. He saw greener pastures. Don't wanna tear your hero down, but you know the controversy with EH and his "bulking up". What 5'10 heavyweights do you see nowadays? Not many.
