Modern nutrition? :rofl  Good one PetethePuma

I really don't think it's a knock on Marciano to say he'd be in over his head against larger fighters such as Lewis, either Klitschko or even Shannon Briggs. Rocky's best chance against Shannon would be his legendary stamina but would he be able to get inside on such a bigger opponent? Use your head.

Rocky wasn't the best technician but he fought with unbelievable heart & determination and he had serious power. Briggs is known for his power, fast hands & solid technique. He also known to get winded easily so a Rocky win wouldn't be out of the question, but it would be unlikely. Don't get me wrong, Rocky would have little problem disposing of fighters like Lance Whitaker, Kevin McBride, etc. but let's be real.

YOU SAY BRIGGS BEATS MARCIANO!!!!!!!! You will stop at nothing to try and ass kiss the Klits and their bum opponents. I love Vitali and don't even think this is such a horrible matchup at his age, but why the **** are you pretending Briggs could beat a HOF-er????????

That HOF would be normal sized, not very skilled nor athletic Light heavyweight today.

You're soooooooooo right. Being tall is all that matters in boxing, especially for brawlers. Tyson would be a bum in this era and if Briggs had fought in the early 50's like The Rock he'd be 126-0. That's just stone cold fact.

Briggs gassed in 3 rounds and was stopped by a six foot 210-215 pressure fighting bum.

Marciano stopped a tough 6'4" 220 lb fringe fighter in Johnny Shkor, who had gone the distance with almost every great fighter of the era and KOed at least one contender...as good if not better track record than Briggs I'd say, minus the can record padding. Before buffing up Briggs was the same size as Shkor when he was a luke warm prospect.

While I am not dismissing Marciano like some in here, I cannot defend the use of Johnny Shkor as evidence that Marciano would stop big guys too. Skhor had been KOed twice by sub 200 fighters in the last couple of years before the Rocky fight (albeit one was Walcott) and was all over the canvas against Louis. Don't make him out to be something he is not, he would be a 'glass jawed bum' by modern ESB standards, not that I agree with the liberal application of that term, but he is certainly no measuring stick for Marciano's ability against good big fighters.

briggs isnt a good big fighter.

just because he is head and shoulders above audley and chisora dont make him anything special.

That's true. I wasn't really referring to Briggs, even though the person I quoted was. I just didn't think that someone like Skhor was a good measuring stick for anything, nevermind a good big HW.

i could give 40 names right now who are preferable to chisora.

i honestly dont kind his fans being happy they get to see him fight again this year, but please dont pretend he is the best option because we all know it aint true.

I never made Skhor out be anything but a tough big man who blew out cans, went the distance with lots of good fighters, and got one really good win.

Briggs isn't much of a step up from Shkor.

And Sid Peaks isn't really sub a 200 lb fighter, he came in 198 once but was generally 210-220. He was a dangerous journeyman with an 85% KO win percentage and a great win over Q Murray.

Rocky would kill Briggs are you kidding me?

Briggs would be pretty damn slow and have trouble hitting Marciano cleanly. Let's even suggest it's possible he knocks Marciano down, it's not like he's sustaining anything.

Rocky is a better technician than the guy in your avatar and that's a fact.

You don't have to take steroids in order to bulk up. Marciano cut down, the guy was a natural 200+ pound guy. And he dieted and trained maniacally to get in condition before fights.

As for your last question... how about Mike Tyson (His listing is off most suggest).
