Multiple winning fights in world title bouts.

The competition he's faced. Ruiz has won (and lost) against top tier competition. He's been fighting at the top level of the sport for many years.

Peter and in particular Chambers have nowhere near the number of title wins/defences, fights against top class competition, or good wins Ruiz has.

I'm a huge, huge NON-fan of Ruiz. But you can't argue against his record.

Sam Peter has a better record than Chambers. You could argue maybe Peter and Ruiz are on par if you want to be a little bit generous IMO.

Eddie Chambers record doesn't hold a candle to either of them - even tho he beat Peter. Chambers is no more than a decent contender right now (at best).

And for the record, I think Haye loses to both of the brothers......

Looking over their careers I would agree. However the Ruiz that fought Haye was past his prime to say the least. Had Ruiz fought Peter or Chambers the night he fought Haye I would have put my money on Ruiz to lose. Just my opinion.

He hurt a shop worn and tired version of Valuev for a split second then started to run again. Bidenko hurt Valuev badly and his legs turned to jelly for the duration of a whole round.

Remember Herbie Hyde? The Herbie Hyde who had devastating power and who actually demolished Tony Tucker in 2 rounds. Tony Tucker who went the distance with Tyson and Lewis in 12 round fights. Herbie Hide who had a 98% KO ratio. :hi:

Haye's claim to devastating power is hurting shop worn Valuev for a split second which puts him on a level bellow Bidenko. Mormeck got up but the ref stopped it; as did Fragomeni. A year before that Mormeck was knocked out cold by Bell. Ruiz took punishment for 9 rounds before his his corner stopped the bout. Tua knocked him out cold in the 1st round. Even Audley made it to his feet after a 20 punch barrage. Sprott knocked him out cold with a single punch.

I don't see how Vitali has a supposedly better chance than Wlad. Wlad is a better fighter in every way and is in his prime. The only thing Vitali has over him is his chin.

IF he beats either one he has a good change against another. I just can't see that happening. And I definitely don't want to.

I remember when Roach said that. Many thought that he might try to get a slice from the big heavyweight pie. Roach would be big asset for any fighter, especially for David, I believe.

Haye/Roach - Wlad/Steward would be great for a good fight because there would be bad blood between trainers as well.. :think (European 24/7..)

    - All three potential fights have the potential to be completely boring - in the sense that both opponents are ultra cautious and stay in the opposite corner for the entire 36 minutes.

    - In contrast, IMO, somebody is getting KO'd in all 3 potential fights. Wladimir has shown spaghetti legs, and I don't think Haye is too great in the chin department either.

    - But, Vitali' chin is granite. Haye and Wladimir can be rocked by big punches - Vitali can physically handle getting hit with big punches. To me - this is almost the deciding factor.

McCline in his prime was 265 or so, and very solid. A huge guy.
So yes, McCline at his best hits harder than 211lb Haye at his best.
Haye is faster than McCline, but the difference in speed won't make up
for the difference in pure power behind each punch.

Ruiz and Barrett were shot and shells of former selves. Harrison - you know the story.

Haye has puncher's chance and that's it. He does not have the chin to get on the inside. If he fights on the outside Wlad is going to jab him to death.

I'm absolutely serious. The question was fighters who hit harder than Haye, that Wladimir has fought. And I believe if you were to measure prime punching power from each of these fighters (Sanders, Brewster, McCline, Peter, Rahman), they would most likely all be higher than Haye.

They dont want Haye destroying Wlad first, they know if he fights Vitali first, win or lose the Wlad fight wont happen after.

Glad Booth hinted that they want Wlad first.

Valuev chin is largely goes untested because it so hard to reach. However, the first time he faced a decent swarmer (Chagaev) - he lost. Tyson would have destroyed Valuev.

Carl Thompson handed Haye his ass on the plate and Mormeck knocked him down as well. If he fights either Klitschko he will be seeing stars in no time.

Sanders, Byrd, Chambers, Herbie Hide all had hand speed equal or better than Haye.

Haye has not fought any kind of decent opposition at HW. He knows he is not ready for either Klitschko just as other guys. Haye is a poser. He is scared to death but since he has been running his mouth for couple of years know he cannot just stop.
