A Ukrainian news source printed a statement from Boente that Wlad and Haye have until May 16th to agree on the fight. If the agreement is not reached then Wlad will have to fight Povetkin and Haye is most likely to fight Audley Harrison. The later scenario would certainly blow hard. Klitchko's camp stated that nothing has been materialized with Wlad-Haye negotiations yet. Haye so far is not in them himself and its lawers and Booth that they are talking to. The link is in russian, maybe Google translate will work for those interested: http://korrespondent.net/sport/boks/1074115
Haye not saying a WORD to the public about Wlad's challenge and now instead he's contemplating another 40 year old over-the-hill nobody heavyweight? Wow, shocker! I wonder what Haye's next excuse will be. "They didn't offer enough money, I'll make more fighting Audley" LOL
It is not Wlad that sets the deadline but the sanctioning body that allowed Povetkin's mando be postponed for unification.
what would be a shocker is once again the klitschko's not denying it. the klitschko's last time offered an abysmal offer, and they knew it.
How you got that from that article is beyond me. You really need work on your reading comprehension skills. What I got out of it is that they are in negotiations and that if they don't work out Wlad will fight Povetkin, his mandatory and Haye may fight an utter sham of a fight against the bum, Audley Harrison.
The last time Haye didn't deserve anything more than an abysmal offer. He was a nobody at have weight, a volutary defense. So, if you don't have anything new to offer, why don't you shut it?
You knew Haye had zero interest in boxing after it became clear that he was not responding publicly to Wlad's challenge. First the Haye boys on the forum here were telling "He's on vacation, he will reply soon enough". He hasn't said jack in something like 4 weeks, I heard him giving tips to Macca and I heard him pick Mosley over Floyd. But not a word about Wlad. And now they say he's contemplating Audley? This is a farce.
It's cool if Haye wants to milk the WBA belt, fight Harrison and make some money. It would just be nice if he wouldn't delude his fans about wanting to fight the Klits. It would also be nice if Haye would take a risk against a serious contender under 35. Right now the only Top 10 heavyweight win Haye has is against Valuev and if Solis takes down Valuev, that win won't mean a whole lot either. So you don't want to fight the Klits....fine...fight Adamek or Povetkin. But as I understand it Harrison won't be ready till Fall.
Wlad also is supposedly offering 50-50 for haye to take the fight too. It could not be more clear that WK wants this fight now - and chickencoward silent haye does not.
I'm curious how the Haye boys will justify a potential fight against Audley? "Immense interest from the British boxing fans"? Honestly, how can any boxing fan - British or not - have an interest for a fight with Audley when a fight with Wlad was on the table. Vitali is fighting an unknown nobody but at least he made it clear that nobody else was available after Valuev went into hiding. But Haye? He has no excuse now.
