Fury will be correct once again. The mind is willing but the body wont follow. Joshua by brutal ko.

It a sport and it is good to see people acting like sportsmen but I do agree completely. I found it very cringe and wrote earlier
I found that awkward to watch at times. The whole master/student talk and talking all philosophical.

I am probably reading it all wrong and they both come across normally as nice guys but to me Wlad seemed a bit patronising and Joshua I get the impression doesnt really like or respect him at all and looked angry, like he was trying to get through the interview as a good guy. As said im most likely reading all of that wrong and is just my opinion which is not worth anything.

I do think fair play and credit to both for putting themselves on the line in this fight

Your post is a wonderful example of underestimating Wilder. He is the HW Champion of the world. Going from a Budweiser truck driver to the HW Champ while helping his daughter through her medical issues is quite an achievement in my eyes and should not be down played. I am sure you can fathom how difficult that must have been. If Wilder were my son or relative I would be so proud of him. He is human. Give the guy a break man. Will ya. When it is all said and done the HW Champ will either be Wilder or Joshua. I am sure of it. Either way it's good for boxing. Peace............

I am sorry but pointing out his obvious flaws is far from underestimating him, and what he does away from the ring commendable or otherwise has no bearing on this conversation.

Yes he is the WBC champion one of a number of belt holders in the HW division, every boxer has a story most of them tasking a down on his luck or working class Joe and giving them a purpose what talent they have differs from boxer to boxer. Wilder has overachieved in my opinion fought 1 top 10 opponent in 35+ fights, wobbled against journey men fought one of the worst list of voluntary fighters in boxing history. I am not underestimating him I am simply pointing out the facts.

I like that they've been very respectful with eachother and I hope they can be friends after this.

From first instincts, it's very hard to judge this fight because all of the cards are stacked towards Wlad slipping further and further from prime and we don't know just what level AJ is operating on.

The best evidences we have are from back in 2012 Olympics but AJ has changed further since then (he certainly lacked the ring generalship that Wlad has).

Iam leaning towards vlad since watching this.AJ looks unsure of himself.Joshua will go for broke early trying to destroy vlad this may well work but if it doesn't what happens? All the pressure is on Joshua the big crowd and all that bull. This fight reminds me of Bruno v spoon young big punching fighter who looks the part but is pretty untested against a fighter who is seen as old news but has been round the block .Fury outboxed and out thought vlad in dull but methodical manner using a plan after winding vlad up with his prefight attics vlad wasn't expecting the controlled fighter he met.if Aj can't take vlad out early he could be in trouble.

Well, from my perspective making his daughter with spina bifida a happy smiling little girl does have a bearing on this conversation. If you have witnessed any of the TV pieces they have shown about this topic you will see who his biggest fight fan and who his main purpose for being the best HW on the planet is. That of course is his daughter. In my opinion top 10 rankings are just numbers like the seedings in an NCAA basketball tournament. When the game or fight starts that all gets flushed down the toilet. Once again in my opinion his last 8 or so fights the competition has been good. We will see.

I am sorry as much as anyone doesn't like to see kids with medical problems it has ZERO baring on his ability as a boxer. My son is autistic but that has ZERO baring on my chosen career or how well people perceive my talent in my job nor would I want them to if I am honest.

If you think his last 8 fights have been against good opposition you need to find a new sport to watch even some of his biggest fans would agree that it has been average AT BEST !!!!

Klitschko looks old. Leaning towards Joshua. Really hope Klitschko can knock him out, if it gets past 5 he can win but not sure Klitschko will.

First of all I am glad your son has a loving caring father. God Bless you for that. You cant tell me that your son has not motivated you on many days to do great things at what you do as does Deontay's daughter. As far as pointing out flaws. Every human has flaws. Even Ali, Foreman, Mayweather, Tyson, Lewis, Klitchko's, Leonard, Hagler, GGG, Kovalev, Ward, all of them do. Boxing and soccer are my favorite sports and I will continue to follow them. What exactly does Deontay have to do for you to finally admit you have underestimated him? The HW belt is not enough?
It's been a fun exchange and I respect your opinion but respect you more as a human being a good father for a son with special needs. Your a great man in my opinion.
    Your son is lucky.

No ive been watching him for over a decade.ive seen him fight tiny heavyweights like ibragimov with intense fear of throwing the right hand incase he got hit, even with manny plading with him to go for the kill as he knew he had no chance of getting back on hbo after it,hes done it in all of his fights virtually since being sparked by brewster.
Im not writing him off by any means, but fighting outside of germany and in the uk,instead of in his back yard with the ref in his pocket, you would think if he fights his usual jab and grab style then he will actually getbpenalised as it is cheating to the extent he does it.in a straight shoot out its no foregone conclusion, and the point i was making was that wlads best option would be to try be assertive and go for it as aj hasnt fought anyone near wlads quality
