I dont understand why there is such a high demand for this fight other then for heavyweight unification. I would imagine this to be an incredibly boring fight and i would have no intrest watching this fight What do you think?
Despite what they say about their sparring sessions, I can imagine it'd also be hard for each of them to not hold back if they fought. People just want to see them fight because they're the top 2 HWs, and them being siblings adds an extra element to the demand.
They both will not want to hit each other, and they are both scared of getting hit. It would be a **** fight. But... We would have 2 champions left, they could fight then we would have an undisputed champion, and we all want that.
That's true. Valuev is basically like Joe Louis only much bigger and therefor better in every capacity. He could do anything Louis could, but with a huge body. It's not really fair that anyone should have to compete in the era of Sugar Nicky V, but, alas, the Klitschkos have dealt with it in a respectable...ahem, excuse me, respectably cowardly way, ducking Valuev at every turn. ...:-(
well I think he's got it partly right. I think Wladimir's previous trainer, Fritz Sdunek, said something like that.
Good thread this. Yeah thinking about it now, it may be competitive but I doubt it would be enjoyable to watch
Yeah, it would be pretty dull. Even if they weren't related (so the mental aspect of beating up your brother is taken out of the equation) it would still be pretty dull. Wlad is tentative and would be even more cautious than normal because of Vitali's height, reach and power. Plus Vitali likes to mainly fight of the back foot. It would be a lot of posturing in the center of the ring whilst both fighters wait for the other to throw.
I don't even know if that's possible. I mean, ...No, that can never happen again without an apocalypse happening soon after.
Lets see how this fight goes... Wlad throws a jab, Vitali bends backwards to avoid it and throws a counter hook but Wlad is out of range before it lands. Repeat for 12 rounds. There's potential of course for this to be incredibly exciting and brutal but also the potential this to suck more then anything else has ever sucked before.
