yes and without even a tuneup to access his ability at this stage of his career.peter could be a dangerous fight for him

I can see peter leaning and pushin on Vitali early and something giving way. Vitali should quit and go away hes annoying as sin and hes holding all the other fighters up!

    Exactly.

Look at it this way.........If Vitali is confident enough to forgo the prevoius plan to fight a tuneup, like Greenburg, and go to straight to Peter, cold, that tells us that in training and sparring, he's firing on all cylinders and is confident he don't NEED a tuneup.

And don't give me that nonsense about he's foregoing a tuneup cause he don't want to risk an injury, cause the guy has had two injuries (knee ligament-herniated disc) during this whole overblown and exaggerated downtime, not five as some have stated.

Last I read about his condition some time back was that he felt great. I think Vitali has been in the gym, is healed, well rested, and probably given how sharp, strong, and effective he is in training and sparring, he sees no need for a tuneup, and is confident he'll take Peter out, cold.

    :good

I won´t even make a prediction here, cause how am I supposed to foresee what kind of shape Vitali is in come fight time (if the fight doesn´t get cancelled)?

I do think the 2003-2004 Vitali would probably have beaten today´s Peter pretty comfortably though.

Peter vs Vitali will not be Johnson vs Vitali II.

Peter will be at his best shape for this fight, I'm sure, not like Johnson.

Vitali was at his best, his prime vs Kirk, which is not happening vs Peter.

I think Peter vs Vitali will actually be very competitive and an open fight. A 75% Vitali should equal a 100% Peter and that's what I'm expeting to see.

Vitali won't come back unless he's feels healthy & like he's at or around at least 80%. Styles make fights & Vitali vs. Peter will look like a cross between his early destruction of Kirk Johnson & his prolonged, merciless beating of Danny Williams. For the record I consider both Johnson & Williams to be more talented than Peter.

Ridiculous. Kirk Johnson was at his best a career average of 228-230lbs. He showed up to fight Vitali at a whopping 260lbs, just about 30lbs heavier than his career average.

In the fight he showed poor balance, a lack of interest in exchanges and all around lack of desire to be there. Just because the man was a professional most of his career doesn't mean he came into that particular fight professionally. It was anything but.

Agree, Vitali even with no tune ups is MILES above Scam Cheater in every way. He has a WAY BETTER knockout percentage against FAR SUPERIOR opponents.

    Vitali KO4 over Scam Cheater.

You're joking right? Peter's best win is against Fat Toney, who he LOST TO the first time and got gifted.

Peter is never in great shape, he is always fat for every single fight.

Kirk Johnson is nothing like Peter, while he does have more skill and speed, he doesnt have half the chin or power of Peter, there just similar in size, thats it.

Vitali/Peter should be a very competitive fight early on, a slugfest if you will. Vitali will come in with less speed, reflexes, and a shop worn chin, that has not been tested in nearly 4 years come fight time. I see Peter knocking him out by the 6th round, the pressure will be too much for Vitali in the end.

If Vit Klit is 80% of the man who administered beatdowns to Johnson, Williams, and Sanders, he will turn Sluggo Sammy Peter into a swollen, bleeding mess.

If he is rusty as hell, Peter might catch him with a bomb to the back of the head.

It is a hard one to pick. I wish Klit wasn't so brittle, for a couple of tune-up fights would be good.

Because Toney tested positive twice while a pro.
