The Klitschkos carrying their opponents to make more ad money is bull****. If that was the case, every of their fights would go 12 rounds. If they have the chance, they finish their opponents early (Austin, Mormeck, Thompson II etc.).

No. Wlad gets 3 Million per fight from RTL but RTL wants some rounds.

RTL was not happy with the Austin fight.
Wlad does not get more money but RTL is the partner so you cannot make shorts fights again and again. You have to listen to your TV partner.

This is boxing and this is not new.
Don Kind took away the purse from Larry Holmes because he ko´ed his opponent to quick because Don King wants some rounds from Holmes because of the TV partner.
    Nothing new here.

    Ali mentioned this too.

Okay stop having a mental breakdown right now and listen to the facts.
Wladimir is in the top 50 of the highest paid Athletes in the world.
    That's pretty impressive tbh.

The reason Wladimir and Vitali often takes long to finnish the fight it's beacuse it's their style. Wladimir use his jab and footwork to tire out opponents and then going for the finnish.

Vitali using his jab and counter punching to tire out his opponents and then go for the finnish.

This is probablt the most ridiculous post I've ever read here in ESB.:happy

So you're saying that if the media asked Wlad about making his fights go longer than necessary so that RTL make more advertising money he was admit that it was true? Is that what you feel?

Surely CHEF would know. Why not confirm it with him?

Wlad knocks Austin out in 2 and RTL was not happy with this outcome.

And the people who watches the fight live wants to see some rounds. Boxing is buisness.

You're quite naive. You really think a member of Team Klitschko is going to come out and say they do that? :patsch Why don't YOU go ahead and ask him? :D

I wouldn't be so quick to assume he knows anyway, he might, but he's not privy to all the business end of things going by what he's said in the past.

Corrupt judges, corrupt refs, fighters taking dives, fixes all for money.

It's fair to assume it is possible fighters "artificially" try to make fights longer than needed if it means more money.

It's probably a combination Wlad not liking to be the offense much and the added benefits on not being the offense.

Alexander Povetkin’s promoter Vladimir Hryunov has won the purse bids for the highly anticipated clash with his Russian fighter and heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko with a mind boggling $23.2 million dollar winning bid. The astonishing figure finally sees a concrete move for the massive fight which has been on and off for the best part of 2 years. The undefeated Povetkin (25(17)-0) holds the ‘regular’ title with the WBA, with the organisation naming the unified ruler Klitschko (59(50)-3) as their ‘super’ champion. The champions K2 promotions also bid a huge $7.1 million as well as German promotional heavyweights Sauerland with a modest $6 million. Klitschko will be receiving a very, very healthy 75% of the purse compared to the challengers 25%.:yikes:admin this is the highest i have heard of:shock:

No, I don't think that at all actually - quite the opposite in fact. But considering how you and the rest of the 'beliebers' take his word as gospel when he's telling you about who's turned down contracts, who's making ridiculous demands and who's ducking the Klits I figured his word would be good enough for you.

But, to review - you've claimed that your idols Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko conspire with a major television broadcaster to artificially manipulate the result of a sanctioned and governed sporting contest to profit from extra advertising money - and the only evidence you're willing to offer is a) RTL make money from adverts b) Vitali looked angry when Solis got injured in the first round of their fight.

    Ok then.
