obviously, because refs are the ones who create the outcome,.

how pathetic. if you watch the old timers, they held the WHOLE fight, throw a punch here and there but hold more than anything.

wlad shouldn't waste his energy holding but the fight he collapsed in has always been on the front of his mind. when he gasses he gasses taylor style.

holding unfortunately is a part of the sport, refs just try to keep the fight clean and keep the fighters separated, they have NO bearing on the outcome of any fight unless its a DQ.

    my god, come on man

    :nut:patsch

Why wasn't Douglas all over Tyson's back?

Why wasn't Holmes all over Shavers back?

Why wasn't Foreman all over Fraziers back?

Those 3 opponents all did exactly what Povetkin did only a hell of a lot better and yet you never once saw Buster , Holmes or Foreman constantly foul and hug.

How was Tackam able to shut out a fitter , faster Povetkin for the first 4-6 rounds without ever bear hugging the life out of him.

    Riddle me that??

Povetkin wins this, he is too skilled for Wlad

If no clinching was allowed at all, Povetkin is getting knocked out. Jumping into Wlad's chest and holding was the only thing keeping him on his feet at points and saving him from taking punishment on the outside.

Wlad actually did better without the clinching. That's the irony.

Povetkin just doesn't match up well with Wlad and would lose in a rematch despite being a very good heavy himself.

Yes Wlad Clinches too much, however many of these clinches are innitiated because the other fighter just dives into Wlad with hayemakers.... If you look though by round 5 or 6 of any of these fights it's the opponent who is holding on... so you can't win just by diving in...but you also can't outbox the guy...

Lol. If holding wasn't allowed the Sasha would have been ko'd within 8 rounds.

    The holding saved him.

In every fight where a significantly shorter fighter just bullrushes the taller one, there is going to be holding, it is unavoidable.

I thought the knockdowns Klitschko scored against Povetkin were mostly bull****.

Klitschko used to fight without clinching too much so he can fight without excessive clinching and Povetkin doesn't seem like an explosive puncher.

But Klitschko has the power and size advantage so I suspect Klitschko would win again unless the wheels fell off his wagon.

Povetkin keeps looking better and better, if he used his knowledge from the first fight to figure out a way to get in and stay there without being clinched every 5 seconds he could do some serious damage with those hooks.

Just like when he fought Brewster yeah:nut

lol at the K tards in here thinking without his clinching , Povetkin would get knocked out.

How come he couldn't knock out Brewster with a fair ref , but instead he was knocked out by him.

Doesn't matter what Wlads delusional fans think, without clinching , Pov would of found the openings to krack Wlads chin.
That is a fact because Wlad KNEW he had to jump on him every 10 seconds.
He has no inside skills whatsoever. NONE. There is no way in hell he could ever compete with Povetkin with fair ref.
No clinching and Wlad gets KO'd before the 6th
