So my bookmakers have the Klitschko vs Thompson fight to not go the distance at 1/3 ..... which i think is pretty much free money ... i think im going to load on it ... do you think this is a pretty safe bet ?? . Personally i really cant see Thompson taking Wlad 12 rounds. And if worst case scenario we end up with another Brewster or Sanders match, i'll win anyway !!

I noticed on ko-odds that the line for this is -9.5 @ 1.56 which ain't to bad either...mind you if its anything like his last fight this could be an average bet!

    Famous last words. :yep

Yes, I think it's a safe bet because I think Wlad will eventually knock him out. But I suppose one would have to consider that Thompson is no cupcake. He's a competent heavyweight, hasn't lost in something like ten years, and is a southpaw. Wlad looked tentative and kind of underwhelming in his last couple of fights against Brewster and Ibragimov (also a southpaw, like Thompson). Wlad also looked uncomfortable against Corrie Sanders, who eventually demolished Wlad; he is also a southpaw.

I'm not saying Klitschko can't fight lefties. But it's definitely food for thought if you're putting a lot of money on the fight.

Yeh those are pretty good odds. I think its safe to say that Wlad takes him out. Thompson has never faced anyone even close to Wlads level. And like you said; if Wlads weak chin cracks then you win anyways!

For the record though I think Cotto is getting better odds right now and thats the safest bet out there IMO

In a way, i think the fact his last fight went the distance is in my favour too, he got criticised for a points victory last time out, so will be doing his best to win in spectacular fashion this time .... plus he's never had two consecutive fights that have gone the distance.
