Klitschko vs Tua? Kusher will drop lawsuit if fight is made Comebacking heavyweight David Tua could get a world title shot against IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko according New Zealand's Sunday News. Tua's promoter Cedric Kushner, who has filed a $5 million lawsuit against Shelly Finkel, Shelly Finkel Management, K2 Promotions, Sport Five and Klitschko, says he will drop the case if Tua is given a title shot early next year. The suit relates to a cancelled Shannon Briggs challenge against Wladimir Klitschko in which Kushner says Briggs was strung along for close to two months by the Klitschko camp before electing to fight Calvin Brock instead. "I drop the suit, they give us the fight ... that's the plan," Kushner said. "Obviously, because I am the one taking them to court, I'm in a position to control any out of court settlement and I'll be looking to use all the leverage I can to get David the shot at the title he deserves." Finkel told the newspaper, ""I think Tua could interest us." :deal
Tua would stop a huffing and puffing Briggs now against Klit, Tua has to bring his youth back, like his Ike battle
Tua still has one of the best one-hitta quiters in the game, he has floored 3 former champs already moorer, rahman, and ruiz. I really hope Wlad gets added to the list.
Tua has a punchers chance but can he get past vlads jab, and can the right hand and hook of Vlad KO the TUAMAN
I like Tua a great deal, but this fight makes no sense. He hasn't fought a single top ten contender in years, or even a top 30 guy. The odds are that he gets solidly outboxed for 12 rounds. I think he needs to take on a couple top 30 opponents at the very least, before he gets the number 1 heavyweight. And, even then, a Chagaev or Ibragimov would make more sense as a title challenge. This is just a way to exploit something out of Klitschko. The lawsuit is absurd, and so is a Tua challenge at this point.
