Klitschko-Valuev update

Vitali Klitschko may return in a summer showdown with seven-foot former WBA world champion Nikolai Valuev. According to BILD, the proposed bout would take place in the 61,000-seat Schalke Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, where brother and IBF/WBO/IBO heavtweight champion Wladimir Klitschko defeated Ruslan Chagaev last year. The current stumbling block is Valuev co-promoter Don King, who is holding out for a $4 million purse, a figure Klitschko’s manager Bernd Bönte told BILD was “Impossible even if Valuev had four belts and was undefeated.” He added that if Valuev doesn’t come aboard, there are other alternatives. Kalle Sauerland of Sauerland Event, Valuev’s other co-promoter, is optimistic that Klitschko-Valuev can be made. “This is an absolute must-fight,” he said. “We’ll find a solution. I think we’ll get this fight sorted out.”

I had wanted to see this fight made for a while but since Haye has stepped in and beaten Valuev does anyone really want to see this fight anymore?

Unfortunatly doctor TKO dosent have power to knock Valuev out.

But he might make him quit in a corner due beign too far behind on points, like most of Klitchkos TKO victims.

VK has nothing to fear from Nico, he can outbox him easy and will probably win the fight by a punishing stoppage.
The only reason I can see for Vitali to take this fight is to show how easy he disposes of Valuev, in contrast to Haye.

Yeah the Heavyweight champion with the highest KO % in history doesn't have the power to KO a lumbering Valuev, when he's been wobbled by guys with far less power.

And how many of his opponents have quit while behind on points? 2 out of 37? Yeah thats most of them dumbass.

No Monte Barrett wobbled him a little in the 1st round, J.F Bergeron stunned him pretty good also, as well as others...

If 220lb heavweights can do that to him, punching upwards no less....then a 6'7 1/2, 250lb Vitali can certainly drop him if he wants to take the risk on his hands, which I think he would!

No...He was wobbled by Barrett and Ruiz before. But more to the point, the reason that he's never been knocked down or hurt that badly is because his management team has purposely kept him away from big punchers. Name to big punchers he's fought? There aren't any. In fact Haye, a former cruiser, is probably the biggest. They have purposely kept him away from the Tua and Klitschko and even guys like Sam Peter because they know he'd be exposed.
