I think a foolish move on Wlads part.
He is better off beating up the Pulev's of the world. Wilder is a legit HW with bonecrushing power...
Yes he can be outboxed, but my money says he hangs in long enough to land one of his wild haymakers, and then it'd be good night for Wlad all over again

Fingers crossed. Grandpa Klitschsko needs to be dealt with, just like grandpa Ortiz. Finkle is doing all he can to lure Wlad back into the ring, and will offer a lucrative contract for him to face the devastating bronze bomber. Deontay thinks that maybe Klitschsko, is hesitant now. Because their roles have been reversed. Please Deontay! Do what Joshua, and Fury couldn't, and KO him in under 6 rounds!

Wladimir should stay retired, his reflexes and accuracy had faded greatly during his last few active years, now with two years off and older they will be far more diminished.

Wladimir might be tempted to beat George Foreman’s record, and he still has enough tools to at least give it a shot, and possibly even beat it. There is no easy champion for him to beat like when George won the heavyweight title again though, which could be a good thing if he did come back and win a title, the achievement would be far greater. I hope he stays retired though. Great heavyweight should know when their ability is not what it once was, and avoid the risk.

Wladimir fighting at the top level against the forth generation of best heavyweight was a great achievement on its own. He should be happy his career was more successful, for much longer than any other heavyweight thought history.

tru, Tone might even lead for a while.

has any Hw champ ever callled out a man just short of 45, with zero sense of the self-ridicule it encapsulates?

Is Wilder deliberately trying to look terrible?

I don't to see Wlad hurt he's too old. Surely Vitali turned down a few offers he couldn't refuse?

Health comes first Wlad should stay retired imo. Wlad's Reflexes get worse & worse as the fight goes on (at this late stage of his career)

Wilder certainly doesn't have much in the way of promotional self-awareness, that's for sure.

If a fight between Klitschko and Windmill Wilder were to occur, the odds are 85/15 in favor of Wladimir. Several factors come into play and noone knows until fight night. Yes, ring rust. Yes, he was older when he fought Joshua. He almost had Joshua KTFO in the fight. It is not as if the fight was a complete blow out domination of a young lion over an old one. Sometimes a lengthy rest can play a healthy role on the mind and will. Klitschko's crazy wench is gone. Women can mess with the head and distract like nobody's business. Her being out of the way is a plus. The Klitschko brothers have always stayed in top condition in or out of the ring. Wilder has a low ceiling, He is a one trick pony and offers nothing else. He carries his power late into fights and is always dangerous. His ring iq and versatility is very low. Weak chin and bad foot work. Klitschko has been to the very top . Once you have been there with all your skills and attributes, you can return because you know the way. PREDICTION.........KLITSCHKO by brutal KTFO.

lol at the posters who think Wlad will lose to wilder on the forum ,what a reality check you would get .

When Wlad comes back and looks great ,do you really think Wilder will actually want the fight anyway knowing his past history ?

    That's all. :demon7:

noone is great at 44, and with his past history, even less so.
