Guess this will be exhibit A for stupid those policy changes made by The Ring are completely dumb.

 

It was when they actually maintained the facade about being a strict meritocratic ranking. Now however The Ring belt is a mere promotional tool for a dying magazine, and in order to boost its image and relevance they've started allowing vacant titles to be filled more easily and have tried to use it to gain some kind of leverage on fighters. Won't work though because The Ring has absolutely no leverage on anyone and the only slim reason to go for the belt (it's "legitimacy") has been completely undermined by these sanctioning body-style reforms.

 

The bigger issue is getting a top 5 fighter to face Wlad.
