no, the ones that come entirely too late and are set in stone as soon as the fight is signed are boring though.

Yeah, because being in his prime was gonna help him a lot against a career threatening injury during a fight :nut

Get it into your thick skull, Vitali didn't quit due to Byrd, he quit due to an injury. An injury that would have made all of you cry like little bitches by just moving your arm, an injury that required major surgery and a 7 month lay-off.

Yet Vitali still fought and tried to win and was still winning the fight one armed until the pain was more than he could handle, because he's a warrior.

lol bribed judges, Tyson barely won 2 rounds, the 3rd and 4th. The puny mental midget was desperate and just looking for a way out since the 5th round, he even resorted to elbows, headbutts and trying to break Mcbride's arm in hopes of being DQ'ed

    Sorry but Tyson ain't Vitali.

Tyson didn't quit due to a severe injury, against a world class opponent, ring top 3 for five consecutive years (2001-2006), in a match he was winning.

Tyson quit, without injury, against a fat, disgraceful hand picked opponent that was beating the **** outta him:good

On the other hand when Tyson got a change to fight against old ATG, he destroyed him. Vitali got same change, but got **** beaten out of him. Vitali failed to capitalize and thats why his legacy is based on defeat and fantasy rematch

When you think about it, old Tyson actualy lasted longer against Lewis than Vitali did.

Watch laughable Byrd vs. Quitali scorecards before talking about bribed judges

He used his hand fine, when you actually watch the fight.

When Tyson fought great Spinks he didn’t quit and make excuses afterwards. He destroyed him in one round. Maybe Vitali should have done same thing, instead getting outboxed and chased down by small Byrd before quitting.

everyone can agree how shitty the joe louis era was.... but if anyone has seen AKA Cassius Clay where Ali and Cus Dmato are comparing generations.... its almost scary how every new generation seems to suck compared to the older one..... (this was when Ali was in exile so he had won the title and defended 10 times or so) but cus says "this generation is soft, you wouldnt have lasted in the joe louis era" ali mentioned how he pretty much kicked pattersons ass and Cus sounding like an ESB poster said "his back was messed up, had his back not been hurt he would have knocked you out"

Byrd barely landed a few significant punches, you think he was gonna win by just dancing around making Vitali miss? Vitali was whooping his ass

He got injured early in the fight and got progressively worse as the match went by, you could see he wasn't the same after round 5, he was still using both hands through the pain and distraction because he's a warrior, but he couldn't do it anymore. This is the same guy who was beating up Lennox Lewis with half of his face melted down, remember? You bitches that criticize him should all research how bad a rotator cuff injury is, the nerves get twisted and you can become disabled.

And lol@ great Michael Spinks, why would Tyson quit against a blown up LHW that was acting like a scared kitten that night? Spinks wasn't great at HW, never was

the difference is that Tyson was just a pathetic punching bag for Lewis, while Vitali was beating the crap outta him, outlanding him every round, and was on his way to win until those nasty cuts came out of nowhere, actually, he was still on his way to win even with the cuts. Lewis was exhausted, all he wanted was to tango with Vitali in the last round, Lewis still won by the only way he could have won, by cuts.

He lucked out and knew it, that's why he fled from boxing (yeah, Lewis never even mentioned retirement before that fight), otherwise Vitali would have had his ATG win, and not precissely against a faded, comebacking, physically overmatched man like Larry Holmes.

Ali's opponents in his first career were really soft.
