And yet if they were MW's they would not even make the top 20 fighters in the world.Vitali is pretty good skill wise and has a good chin but he is far bigger than anyone else he faces. When he fought an out of shape Lewis he looked very cumbersome and even Lewis is not as big as him.Vitali lacks power and also lacks any decent wins on his resume to be remembered past this era, which is a shame because he is an ok fighter. As for Vlad he is nothing special and very much the weaker of the two brothers.
They are good fihgters no doubt, but as for a "new breed" thats a joke, compare Lewis' fight with a prime briggs to Vitalis with an old shot, sick briggs
Why can't you just be a fan of boxing and be half assed realistic instead of a ridiculous fanboy? The fact that you think that they "move like middle weights" shows how you a) don't know anything about boxing and b) don't care to be honest about the Klits. "Movement" is hardly even a top five quality of either one of them.
Myth. Excuses. :tired The difference between Wlad and Ali's early career troubles is that when Wlad got caught, he got knocked out.. Ali got up and stopped his opponent. Oh, and why should Lewis take on Wlad, when he's pushing 40 years old? It's a smart buisness move. Even though he would've stopped Wlad. And by the way, there's always been huge heavyweights in every era.
Ali got up after being saved by the bell and haveing his glove riped and being given smelling salts [ illegal in england ] at the time of the fight.
yep. Having his glove ripped never really happened, and the smelling salts are a myth, theres no clear film of it and no good sources about it. Anyway, at least Ali came back to win, your boy wlad just kept getting knocked down
Wladi is unbeatable right now. Povetkin, Hayweather and Valuev ducking career high paydays to fight him, PROVES it. :yep
Its not like they are the start of a new *wave/breed* cause once they are done, we'll be back to where we were. They are unique and one of a kind.....or make that, two of a kind....... I don't see any others of this *breed* around at the moment, do you? They are all there is.
To be honest...the Klits are sort of robotic. Lennox was much more fluid as was Holmes and Ali. But I agree that guys are just gonna be bigger, more athletic and will have the skills too. But that's just a natural progression.
I generally agree with Bretchko, that these guys could have at least held their own against past greats, and probably beaten most of the them. I see Lewis and Holmes beating them, Ali and Foreman giving trouble, and many of the others falling. No, they are not just successful because of a weak division....I'm sick of hearing that, and I'm not even a K-fan. They have cleaned out the division just by being better.
Knew this thread would be a load of bollocks but you surpassed my expectations with the very first sentence :rofl:rofl:rofl
