No matter how big there opponents are they are extremely difficult guys to fight. They use there tools to great effect and make mince meat of current foes. I see many people talk about there sheer size and strength and how it's neigh on impossible for heavyweights of today to get to them and win, Chisora has a mammoth task later this month. Some feel Dereck is just a cruiserweight in reality. That's what made me wonder and think of this question... From past or present what would be the smallest man (Size or Weight) you could find to beat them?. Maybe someone from yesteryear who mixed at light heavy or cruiser? or even Heavy but was a small heavyweight Why do you think they could of beaten the Brothers of right now? what attributes did they have they would trouble these guys. Obviously we have Chris Byrd holding a win over Vitali but circumstances ending that fight weren't of Byrd's doing really. It was a bizarre ending but only Vitali knows his pain threshold.
'86-88 Tyson is the smallest I'd favour to beat both He has the speed & the power to cause problems & was elusive enough to get in range.
tyson and holyfield i would favour over them, obviously both have there off nights but at there best i would bet my house on it.
Tyson would ****ing annihilate Wlad. Vitali would push him but ultimately get beaten in my opinion. It would have been interesting to see how Ibeabuchi would have developed and whether he could have been a match.
So these are smallest guys we can find?. I agree with Slip really think Holy's will to win and ability to land against bigger guys would give him edge in a fight with either.
Agree with Tyson and Holyfield. I'd actually prefer to watch the Holyfield fights rather than Tyson's attempts on them. Holy's ability to not only fight on the inside but more importantly, stay there, would be a pleasure to watch. With Tyson i'd see either K brother leaning down and pushing him away, muscling him off. Sure Tyson would bob his way back inside but wouldn't have the chance to stay inside as much as Holyfield could. As for others? When I think about Frazier, I can never get the Foreman fight out of my mind long enough to give him the win. Vitali would be doing similar to Foreman's strategy, leaning back out of range and winging uppercuts straight on target. Wlad's ability to keep range and smother, along with his superior athleticism, I can see similar results again. Like I say though, maybe the Foreman-Frazier performance is swaying me on that, since I give Tyson much better odds. Roy Jones Jr (Ruiz version) worth a shout? Sure, it could end at any moment, but the man could give Vitali fits with his speed and movement. Wlad, again by virtue of his athleticism, i'd give the nod over Jones.
