Hahahah. Well then I'm sure it would look stupidly obvious to even a casual follower if he toyed with them for 12 rounds.
Wow... some people are gullible as ****. Paid by the round?:rofl Klitschko haters really are the most uneducated people on this planet.
It does explain Wlad his lack of finishing a bit though. That makes the Povetkin fight extra nice as he doesn't have to extend the fight anymore for the cash. It would be hilarious if young Wlad suddenly returns and beheads Povetkin quickly.
Best heavy weights on the planet. Love to see them win. Doesn't deter from the fact that boxing is business. It's money over sport everytime. Which is the reason why 99% of match ups are dog ****.
well , most fans agree boxers fight for money , then most should enjoy watching their fighter make more and more money .
I do. Good luck to them. I will be setting my alarm to watch Floyd earn his $32 million tonight aswell :bbb
I guess david haye likes that business model , that's why he carried Wlad 12 rounds , he could have knocked wlad out in 1 .We all know it only takes one shot to shatter wladimir's glass jaw , but Haye wanted more money !!!!!
Lack of finishing? Do you realize that Wlad has a higher knockout percentage than Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Ali, Frazier, Holmes, Bowe, Holyfield, Joe Louis, Jack Dempsey, Liston, ect... ? Lack of finishing? Wlad has only had 4 fights go the distance in the last 13 years!
Haye's choice of words were misleading. Klitschko does not get paid per round....however, due to the business model of K2 promotions; the longer the fight goes on the more it suits advertisers. If I recall correctly, McDonald's would pay some £300,000 (or whatever money it was) for a 30 second advert to a broadcaster (and stipulate they wanted it played X amount of times) and other advertisers would do the same (with varying degrees of money and seconds plugging their products). Let's say, they had 10 companies who would potentially pay £2,000,000 in total for their products being advertised....if any of those com.panies failed to get their products advertised due to a quick KO or a KO EARLIER than their scheduled round (ie Mcdonalds in round 7 for example) then the promoters do not get paid; the company loses confidence and they don't negotiate again for another fight. Haye was partly correct but his explanation needed further elaboration. I hope I've cleared it up a bit better for you guys.
