If the k brothers came along at the beginning of the 70 s how far do they get? Do they get past Ali, Frazier and foreman, or remain as top contender s through the decade?

Wlad has the ability to defeat any heavy in history. would He? I don't know, I think he would defeat Frazier.
Up until age 39 and Fury (who is much bigger than Ali) Wlad dominated boxer mover types.
I think Foreman would give him the most trouble despite the fact I believe Foreman is slightly overrated based on his resume.
Foreman is a pressure fighter with good too handed power, both Brewster and Sanders got to Wlad that way and Peter gave him a decent fight in their first bout.

Vitali is hard to gauge he was winning in every fight he ever had but the competition he fought wasn't great. Very awkward fighter. He stands a better chance against Foreman because he's bigger than George, has a better chin than Wlad and better stamina than both.

I think both brothers handle the majority of the other 70s heavyweights such as Quarry, Norton, Shavers, Lyle.

I put them slap bang in to probably the hardest decade going. Both brothers of course did well in their own eras and got to the top. I believe they have mixed luck here. Imo both give Ali shaky fight s but lose. If they meet him at the start of the decade especially with the lay off ali struggle s but manages to get the win. Prime Frazier in 70 beats them both but after foreman loses. Foreman blows out wlad but struggles more with vit. The 77 version he could actually lose to both.

Wlad and Vitali lose ,lose and lose. Joe Frazier chops both down, Foreman blasts them out . Vitali might go the distance with Ali, might. Wlad gets stopped in about 7

Quarry, Norton, Shavers ,Lyle, anyone of these guys tap Wlad's weak chin and it's over.

Wlad's weak chin everytime he's been stopped he was on his feet or getting up.
For a Weak chin he had the 2nd longest reign in heavyweight history against men bigger and stronger then fighters in the 70s. You want to talk weak Chins Norton folded against every big puncher he ever faced. He never made it out of the second round. Shavers was shakey too.
You're entitled to your opinion I think you're selling both brothers short.

I can't stand watching the brothers fight. Actually, I often didn't stand. I fell asleep on the couch. Just not a style I enjoyed. Wlad more than Vitali. Vitali went after his guy more. However, despite not being my favorites, they have the ability to beat every heavyweight who ever lived. Too big & too smart. They knew what worked for them.

I agree...Vitali would have a much greater chance against Foreman than his brother.

Jimmy Young would have beat them both...whether or not he would have actually gotten the decision over them would be another thing.

I think both could best Frazier, Vitali easier than Wlad. Ali woul'd depend on when they fought as time wentry on Ali relied more on being able to absorb punishment rather than avoiding it so Wlad could potentially pull out an upset, l think it less likely that Vitali could do the same. And l think Foreman pre Young could beat them both. Holmes would be interesting, he too would likely beat them both with his speed and movement.

Frazier I think is too small, Foreman maybe a bit too wild for these two wily customers, and Ali the hardest because of his superlative speed. Potentially, yes, they could win all three.

But at the highest levels small things can make a big difference. Maybe Frazier is good enough to get inside consistently on Wlad and the ref doesn't tolerate clinching. Could be bad for Wladimir. Or Foreman manages to rile Vits up and they get into a brawl, where anything could happen, instead of playing Vitali's technical games with space. If Ali couldn't handle Wlad's jab, it would not go well with him.

Just saw an interview with AJ on his win over Wlad, for example.

In my opinion Wlad was stalking him down from the KD onwards, and winning every round. But AJ kept his cool, and in the interview he said that he noticed that at the start of every round Wlad would throw a hard 1-2 with enough force to draw him naturally into the clinch. That's where he saw the opening for the monster uppercut that changed the fight. AJ said it took him till the end of the 10th to figure this out, but once he did ... :ambulance:

So, this stuff is not clear cut and styles, circumstances and refs make fights.

But if the question is as simple as "could" they get past the Big 3, my answer is YES.

My answer is no. For all the sweet science talk regarding klitchko,s its actually a pretty basic style. Edge up to smaller opponent. If the opponent moves forward they move backwards diffusing the situation. To start edging forward all over again. If the opponent doesnt move forward they edge in just close enough to get their jab off. Then when their styles frustrating opponents enough they start sticking in some right hands. The opponents are usually all flat footed. No lateral movement. Single punch fighters.

The blueprint to beat them was always out there tho its just that the opponents lacked the skill to do it. On top of that they we,re usually always undersized in comparison.

To beat them when you go forward they start backing off. What happened would opponents would reset...and it would start all over again. The opponents start flat footed set...then try and stumble forward in a straight line. It was like taking candy from a baby for the klitchkos.

What the answer was...is dont stop going forward. Combination punching. Push them back. They need to either set...or go back to the ropes. Single punchers would struggle...guys that can punch in combinations. i.e ali would be just fine. People talk about klitchkos jab and grab...but its easy to employ them tactics when the opponents are throwing one punch and staying set. Different ball game when their feignting...using movement. Angles. Lateral movement all things ali done. These guys nowadays lack all of it. Fury showed the way with the feignting but tbf he was bigger.

People we,re trying to box with the klitchko,s...they d lull opponents into it with their style. When the answer was always to fight them take them out of that comfort zone. Thats why people we,re frustrated with david haye. He went accross their with a system to box them. He needed to throw out the rule book and stick it on wlad. Instead their planning for a 12 round fight.

Even joshua everytime he stuck it on klitchko punched more than single shots he caused him big problems. The success wlad got was when he made it a single punching boxing match.

But the smaller skilled guys could do it. Foremann and frazier would have done it too. Frazier was relentless and hes not gonna stop coming forward.

The opponents all had things the big 3 lacked. Stamina not good enough. Couldnt feignt before their or during their attempted attack. No lateral movement. Poor static movement. No angles. Didnt know how to combination punch.

I m pretty sure that samual peters caused big problems if i remember the fight right he was throwing a few punches at a time actually fighting as opposed to trying to outbox them one punch at a time. Wlad was lucky to get out that fight.

Saying that i dont think frazier would have beat them as good as he was. Frazier needed to get inside to be effective. He,d have struggled big time to do that with the klitchkos.

Wladimir couldn't even get pass Ross Purrity, Corrie Sanders, and Lamon Brewster. Foreman knocks Wlad out in a few rounds tops. Ali would out box Wlad. But Ali could be hurt and if Wlad was aggressive he could do that. Norton's chin was suspect just like Wlad. But Norton was a better boxer. Either one could get knocked out.

Vitali was hurt by Sanders with one punch and hurt by Lewis with jabs. This is the out of shape washed up Lewis by the way. Vitali would be stopped by Foreman, Ali would again out box him. Norton could get caught early but I would favor him to win.

Guys like Ron Lyle, Gerry Cooney, Larry Holmes, would all be in my opinion favored to beat Wlad and Vitali. Guys like Leroy Jones and Al Jones were big talented guys but there isn't much footage of them to know if they could beat Vitali and Wlad.

He was rescued by the ref from being killed against a couple of barely club fighters.Norton in my opinion never lost to the universally acclaimed greatest heavyweight of all time Ali, and he lost to guys who could back him up.My point is valid, any of those guys hit him he's gone. What exactly was Wlads his best fight?
