Klitschko's legacy as a champ. If he keeps winning, I'll tell you how I rate him.

As Foreman says, boxing is like Jazz: the better is is the less people like it.

Remember, when you make the rules it has to work for all fights, otherwise we have to start making certain fights void.

If Ali has weight and height, does not count (for example).

    That is simply wrong.
The laws of physics and biology are against you here. Once a person gets to a certain size, then it becomes a disadvantage and not an advantage.

Little things like the extra leverage working against you in your frame counteracting the extra musculature. The extra difficulty in getting oxygen all the way to all of your muscles efficiently. Hell, even surface-area-to-volume ratio works against you.

That is why the heavyweight division is an open division. It is also why guys as large as the Klits have very rarely dominated the division. It is only since Lewis that we have been used to very good champs being so large.

If size was such an advantage then the history of the heavyweight division would be filled with larger fighters. But it isn't.

The same guys who say bigger is not better (constantly) cry when a guy is "too big" :patsch

No I'm sorry, whenever I read or hear Klitschko I fall into an involuntary cat-nap for 15 minutes. I must've hit the keyboard wrong, I swear.

Except Wlad isn't actually that great.

Ironically, he's going to be a great. Top 20, maybe top 15 material when he's done.

And actually that quote makes no sense. On the surface it does, but think about it. Who doesn't like great Jazz? People like bad jazz over good jazz? Is there a highly action underground type of Jazz that's so loved but seen as inferior to a greater kind of Jazz? In his sense, he's talking about music.

Let me guess, you have men like Sonny Liston and Jack Dempsey ahead of Wlad in your HW ATG list.

The sad reality is the heavyweight division isn't as bad as people make it out to be. It's all taboo pop culture because people don't trash talk, ****, etc. It was not a truly international sport in the past and it is now and Americans are not dominating, the style is more 'boring'. That is the reality of what is happening.

i dont enjoy watching wlad as every fight is the same, but you cant argue with his record and the fact that no one in heavy weight can touch him. he should be recognized as a great but boring heavy weight...

Many greats had boring fights, many many 12/15 rounders that just dragged on forever without much action. The mistake we make is we only remember their 2-3 most memorable fights a few years after they retire, we don't remember the majority of their mediocre showings.

Thus this barely passes as a criteria.

Very not true IMO but even if... So what? He is dominant. IMO again Klits are H2H competitive with the best in history. With every ****ing one. I don't put much attention to ATG rankings based on resume. How can Klitschkos proove that they belong in there?

Dude...I swear, Wlad and Vitali are some of the most divisive champions to hold a belt in the last thirty years, fan-wise. From bat**** nuthuggery to ridiculous malice and disgust. Sometimes I feel like the only guy who's just okay with those two.
