Klitschko's loss to Purity

No way......The ONLY, the F/N ONLY reason Wlad lost to Purrity is b/c he wnet headhunting looking for the KO in 9/10.

Wlad beat him from pillar to post before gassing and getting dropped.

Purrity had no trouble hitting Wlad, but Wlad took everything Ross threw until he gassed.

Don't act like you seen the fight, then essentially explain it away as the same as the Sanders fight.

The only fighter who beat Wlad like a "man vs boy" was Sanders, and no excuses, it's Wlad's job to prepare for each opponent, and know their strength and weaknesses. He couldve been cautious early, using his jab and cross until Sanders wore down before ultimately taking him out. Poor fight plan by Wlad and he's STILL paying for 12 yrs later.:rofl

 

It was a tough fight to take so early on in his career. Things like this do happen early on during a great fighters career, especially when they are not being overly protected. Some are able to get by like Ali did against Cooper some take the early loss but go on to greater things like Lewis and Louis.

But I don't think Wlad or his handlers learned much from the loss. I rated Vitali over Wlad when I first saw them. I saw flaws in Wlad. He wasted so much energy with unwarranted movement, we saw the same flaws against Brewster, there wasn't a moment in that fight where he wasn't exerting himself, whether it was throwing bombs, roughing Brewster in the clinches or jerky body movements when doing nothing, he never took a moment to rest and gassed.

It took Steward to finally refine Wlad into the dominant fighter we have today.

Comparing Wlad's stamina to Foreman's makes a lot of sense. It should have been well known that George had stamina issues after his power was negated by agile boxers. I think Byrd beats him, Sanders don't know, but Young certainly had his number.
It's amazing that Foreman was portrayed as such a destroyer when he was the one that could be destroyed in later rounds

Wlad tops him in this dept, as he has learned how monitor his output-George was overated.
