Klitschkos didn't really pay much to most of their opponets. 500k was basic payday for fighting their heavyweight championship belts. Meanwhile Wilder declines 15 million offer and calls it peanuts. LMAO

Lennox Lewis earned more than 15 million only once - against Tyson. He also earned exactly 15 million for rematch with Holyfiield and 10 for their first fight. Tyson and Holyfield were global super stars. How much would Wilder demand to face them?

so dont pay it, move on. if you want to end career without proving you were the best in your time because 1/4 of the total purse was too much to pay for a legacy, thats your right.

Yes, but Lewis fought in the 90's and early 00's. Are you also going to compare that Jack Johnson made only $120k against Jeffries too? You can't compare purses from 15 and 20 years ago. I will agree that calling 15m moronic. Heck, I'd be fine with just 1m.

When Klitschko opponent held a belt like Wilder does they got 50%. i.e David Haye.

Joshua should be giving Wilder offers he can't refuse since its a legacy fight and a historic achievement if he wins.

Hearns wants him to get a little more experience first.

Solis made a couple million to fight Vitali, and Povetkin or Haye made boatloads, so basically this is a stupid thread on a lot of fronts.

    3 belts to 1 asslips.

But thats not even the main point, main point is the people pay more to see AJ and thats just the truth that Wilder fans cant get through their heads.

Klitschko's paid $1.5 to mandatory defenses. Deontay pays jacks***.

Arreola, Solis, Fury, Chagaev all cleaned up and made career-high paydays vs. the K brothers.

yeah but that is pretty good money. He must think he can get more. Who knows. Time will tell, but now is the time for that fight. Sort of like Thomas Hearns vs. Ray Leonard in 1981..

This is true, K bro opponents got paid pretty well and all had full camp. I remember certain members called it slave contracts but when it comes to Wilder paying peanuts to his opponents on short notice they are quiet?
    Hmm...

Wladimir gave Haye 50/50 although he didn't deserve it in an attempt to solidify legacy. I wish more A-side fighters were willing to do that.

The difference is the Klitschko's made, what, 15 million-ish for each fight toward the end of their careers. Wilder, right now, only makes 1-2 million per fight. He is probably giving an equivalent percentage of the pie.

This. It's a unification for the undisputed heavyweight title and the fight happens to have a lot of public demand. Both need eachother to get their highest purse.

This. Hearn knows how green Joshua is and that Joshua market value will go in the toilet of Wilder knocks him silly. I wouldn't be surprised if Hearn puts the fight off for several years, since the British fans would pay to see Joshua box a broom. I see Hearn milking the British fans for as long as he can before risking Joshua.
