Derek Chisora had beaten another prospect twice and a lethargic Danny Williams when he was being touted as a guy that could give them fits. Wlad was gonna fight him but injuries......6 mos. later, Fury is schooling him. Then he comes back hella strong vs Helenius and again vs Vitali.
Hindsight is 20/20 and ppl now widely consider Chisora a top contender, but 18 months ago he was just a guy that beat a badly faded D Williams. Think it's fair to say that Scott would beat that version of Williams similarly, and that some guys like Scott and Rodriguez and Welliver have been knocking on contentions door for a while, but the other contenders don't wanna let em on the bus.:think

There's no mystery as to why Seth Mitchell is getting his chance while Malik Scott didn't get his... people want to see Mitchell because he's exciting.
Complain that he isn't as skilled as Malik, just have a fun time explaining that to the yawning fans at a Scott fight.

 

Let Scott fight David Rodriquez and then give the winner a shot. I think David would probably smoke this guys ass

 

It'd be a good fight and a step in the right direction for both. MOF, I'd rate it higher in terms of quality than Chisora Fury.

But it'd be a tough fight to make without some form of TV money. Both guy sell out local clubs and casinos, so both would likely be seeking the lions share of a 60K purse.
