It appears that what once seemed impossible will now come to pass when the Klitschko brothers meet in a heavyweight unification bout later this year. Wladimir Klitschko will make one more defence of his IBF/WBO titles, most likely against David Haye. This event will be promoted by Sauerland. And Vitali will unify his WBC belt against Nicolay Valuev later this year in Moscow. The promoter there will be Don King If both brothers are successful in these bouts, they will meet in a joint DKP/Sauerland promotion later this year in the US. The mega-card will feature another unification bout of some significance. Kessler-Bute has been mentioned, but it's more likely that the bout will feature at least one American champion. If all goes according to plan, this will result in an undisputed lineal champion in the heavyweight division. The unsuccessful brother will retire. http://korrespondent.net/sport/boks/659865 Don King has predicted that this mega-event will set new ppv records worldwide. HBO will carry the fight on a ppv basis. The European carrier is yet to be determined.
perhaps, in looking for an april fool's gag to pull over on the boxing insider...one might avoid choosing matters that have been comprehesively settled beyond any doubt before the professional debuts of the fighters in question. the sports media and casual fans are rightly criticized on these boards for always badgering the klitschko brothers about the possibility of fighting one another because it is simply a categoric impossibility based on familial closeness. who would want to see two guys who don't want to hit each other wince around one another on ppv? heck, i was keeping my fingers crossed that mads larsen v. mikkel kessler would never be made because larsen was a mentor to kessler for much of his early career and it would amount to little more than a slap-happy public workout. forget about it if we are talking about two smart, self-controlled brothers who are closer to one another than probably anyone else in the world.
I would of believed a huge a cloud **** was moving towards the western hemisphere before believing this
When I read that Vitaliy would fight Valuev I understood that this was false, because Don King would not let it happen.
