cheers bro..im by no means a boxing expert nor have i fought at any great level (just as an am in the army and a few hush hush fights)but i sure as hell know that its easy to do what haye done against wlad and thats stay on the outside and run like the wind and to make it even easier to do you dont throw any punches which means your only concentrating on defence which leaves little or no room for mistake and being caught out..haye fought a fight to survive he obviously has his reasons for doing so but in no way was this fight close or could a rematch be justified unless haye beats some top contenders...theres a reason every boxing expert says was comprehensivly outboxed and thats because they all know how easy it is to do what haye done and that he was still tagged and made to look like a fool doing it...kevin johnson tryd something similar with vitali and looked like a coward in doing so..was that fight close??did that deserve a rematch??hell ****ing no..i cant believe how delusional haye fans are...:hi::hi:

Big difference. Vitali was ahead on all three cards, at the half way mark. And taken Lewis's best shot. While haye was behind and did nothing the entire fight.

 

The fight actually exposed both fighters. This was a big opportunity for both men to impress a global audiance and a big opportunity to put the heavyweight division back on the map, but they failed to deliver.

Here in the UK this was the first heavyweight fight in years that generated big interest from general public and they were seriously unimpressed with what they saw. So while people were pissed off with how Haye fought, they were far from impressed with Wlad too.

Haye may as well retire and Wlad can just stick to racking up defences in Germany.

 

It was one-sided for Wladimir.

well wer im from the general public seem to think the opposite..they do agree the fight could have been better..i think thats one point everyone agrees on..but everyone says the same thing..haye was made to look like an amature and that he ruined the fight with his tactics

I agree with those who say Wladimir won easy, however I also agree Hay could beat Wladimir. The reason is attackwise Haye was so poor. If you look at Haye fighting as a crusier weight where his ring weight is the same as with Wladimir e.g. 210-215. He used to throw 400-500 punches not 200-250, he only used to throw the famed hayemaker when he had oppentents in trouble. The reason was his hayemaker is by far his slowest punch, tires haye out, leaves him off balance (easier to hit) and the easiest to avoid. Haye would have won jack**** fighting like he did with Wladimir at cruiserweight.

Second in round 12, haye went for it, stayed in the pocket after catching Wladimir and got punished, which is why booth came up with hayes gameplan of staying outside. The problem is by round 6 it was clear Hayes gameplan was not working. So why did haye not jump in the pocket rounds 6 to 11 for twenty seconds or so have a go and then get on his bike when Wladimir attempts to responded.

So you can say Haye could and would have been more successful if he came to ring with his instintive and normal gameplan rather than Valuev 2. Now in the ruiz fight Haye started to gas in round 6, booth tells haye to go for speed not power. hayes stamina improved dramactically he threw twice as many punches, the power returned. Ruiz was taken out. If you look at Hayes post match comments time and time again he has admit when he looks for knockouts they do not come. He gets his knockouts by going for speed not power.

Fast forward to wladimir fight what does haye do. He goes looking for a knockout, picks his slowest punch which tires him out leaves him off balance and is by far the easiest of his punches to spot coming. Then he does the same thing over and over again. Haye Wladimir was not a normal Wladimir fight. Haye is way better than anybody Wladimir has fought the problem was Haye never brought what he had to the ring.

So people should be more annoy with Haye not less because he clearly let him self down rather than Wladimir being to good for him. By the way I am not saying Wladimir is not a good champion, Haye would not have done him self justice against any decent heavyweight champion fighting the way he did, but it was hayes fault not who he was fighting.

Contrary to popular opinion, I think Haye did better than any Wlad opponent in many years. That said, he still lost nearly every round. Haye fans were put on earth to make real boxing fans laugh. We should be thankful for that. And thankful for this thread. Well done! I'm laughing.
