Question for you, who had the better level of competition in there era? Wlad or Tyson. Is say this because Tyson beat the **** out of his competition in his prime with the attributes I mentioned above. I think some of these guys were better than wlad.
Wlad looses by panic attack pretty early. Vitaly would be competitive up to a point but would be slowly broken down. Tyson by the 8th or 9th.
I was watching tysons career on DVD a few nights ago and I noticed a couple of things I never saw before. 1. Tyson got hit alot. He had good defense but against good comp he took shots. This can Mean the klits could get him out or he could take whatever they dished out. 2. Tyson had a good jab and used it to close the distance on taller comp. 3. The fighters who managed to go the distance with mike did so by holding on for dear life. The ones that choose to exchange where crushed. 4. Tyson is a lot more intelligent then most perceive. His post fights where almost prophetic n him predicting he would be remembered for fighting only bums. This tells me he had not only the benifit of smart managment but also a smart corner. Prediction: Tyson beats wvlad by decision. After vlad feels tysons power he would hold on to see the final bell. Tyson defeats vitali by early ko. Vitali would exchange with Tyson. But a prime Tyson was almost three times as fast as vitali and more explosive. It would be Battle of chins and whoever threw the shorter punches.
:rofl:rofl:rofl @ either Klits winning. Tyson KO2 Wlad Tyson KO4 Vitali Big mechanical robots are the ideal opponents for Tyson to destroy. Think Dempsey vs Willard all over again. :!:
C'mon Jazzo..... you are better than that Wlad might get blown out early, but would have half a chance of winning.... but Vitali wouldn't have a chance at all!
I'll take the minority position: I don't think Tyson ever gets past Wlad's jab, and I think he gets sledgehammered repeatedly through the fight. Tyson would have better luck against Vitali, who's more reckless and doesn't have the near-impregnable defense that the current Wlad possesses, but if Vitali fought with some caution he would break Tyson down.
a prime mike tyson would ko wlad pretty early and vitali would get smashed about for maybe 8 or nine rounds before the ref steps in to stop it. dont see mike getting a ko over vitali but he would definatley in my opinion bang him around a bit forcing a stoppage later on.
wow, some of the things said concerning these fights.tyson would **** wlad in 1 or 2 rounds.look how wlad reacts when he gets pressed,it's like an amateur.his movments are poor on the back foot,he's wide open and has that deer in the headlights look.your doing tyson a massive disservice if you think wlad beats him.vitali on the other hand though was much tougher and the fight could go either way,so thats all i'll say on that one.
Wlad would be stopped early, Vitali would have ko'd Tyson. Problem was in Tysons day, almost all the fighters he fought **** themselves b4 they even got in the ring with him. Look at Bruno,he hit him with a good shot early which shook Tyson, but was too afraid to persist and was ko'd. It was only after Buster Douglas showed Mike was only human like everyone else that guys were prepared to have a go.
Prime tyson for sure, by mid KO most likely. Dude would have gotten inside and lit them up like a ****ing joint.
Wlad does not handle pressure well. Look at the first Peter fight for instance. When peter slow ass kept clubbing for him he tried to hide behind the ref and literally ran with his back turned. He settled down only a few times to get off his power shots but prior to that, Peter was knocking him down like it was not ****.
The Douglass-Tyson was the partying undisciplined version. He was dropped in sparring leading up to the fight and he fought off of rawness rather than good training(he took Buster lightly like everyone else).
