Klitscko's RTL Deal will be up in December

He'll come up with some other bull**** excuse. Probably say he is in need of a tune up as he was out of action so long :roll:. He'll have at least one more fight after Harrison before he gets knocked out by Wlad.

 

Haye will fight Harrison then Chagaev (his mandatory)
There is then no reason from either side why the fight cant happen (assuming both win)

 

I believe it won't be so simple. It will depend on what Haye's future plans are i.e. whether he's serious about retiring at 31 and how many other pay days he feels he can get in before losing to a Klit. If he's not ready then excuses will be made. I'm not convinced about this mystery tv station that is willing to offer more either. Is it a load of bull**** or should we just take Haye and Booth's word? You have to be seriously naive to believe that was actually the reason Haye didn't sign to fight Wlad.. IMO the RTL deal makes no difference to the chances of us getting to see this fight.

 

Whatever happens I'm pretty sure that the "retire at 31" statement won't be an issue if Haye keeps winning. Haye will either keep winning and keep fighting or retire after getting stopped, age won't be the deciding factor.

 

I'm not so sure. I know Haye has lied before and I might be stupid to fall for this **** but he's not exactly the hungriest of fighters currently, and I can totally see him hanging up the gloves soon regardless of if he keeps winning or not. He's gonna make a lot of money against Harrison and I reckon he would be satisfied if he could get one or two more big paydays after that before calling it a day and walking off in the Cyprus sunset. If he doesn't fight a Klitschko he could say "well I said from the start I would retire when I hit 31 and they knew it and didn't provide a reasonable contract for me before the deadline so it's their fault". Or something like that.

 

Lots of boxers set an age limit when they are are in their early/ mid twenties. I can't think of one that has stuck to it voluntarily (ie not got beaten first). If Haye is still fighting, winning and earning £5 million+ a pop then IMHO he won't retire.

 

I've been a huge critic of Haye (deservedly so) but for some reason, I think he's going to fight Wlad after Harrison.

What would everyone's opinions of him fighting Chagaev next? I'd be disgusted.

 

Mark my words there is no mystical "higher bidder" like Haye claimed. If Klitschko - Haye ever happens it will be broadcast on RTL in Germany and they will pay no more than they paid for previous Kiltschko fights.

 

He might have to though, or vacate.

Would Chagaev get a licence to box here?

It's not a fight that would sell..... given Haye's recent behaviour I'd hardly expect a low money fight to be on his radar.

The WBA will let him fight who he wants.... Chagaev will be given an interim fight or something to keep the till ticking over.

 

Where though, would Chag get medical clearance to fight in this country??
