there is no body who is capable of challenging... the entire top 20 of the heavyweight division is composed of a bunch of C level fighters & 2 B level fighters (the klitskos) for a ok fighter to turn into great fighter he needs to beat fighters who stylistically challenge them.... aside from the klitsko's all these guys pretty much suck.... beat awful fighters then step up to face the klits for no reason

that's why the young 6 ft 7 american kid is still on the low... they are goig to keep him on the low for as long as possible until the klits are done...

    are the klits awful... no
    are they atg's.... no

they are just fortunate to be in a division with 0 competition

The Klits have the same problem Holmes had in the 80's. It's tough coming in after a great decade of boxing. The 70's were filled with stars, just like the 90's. Once Lewis left in 03, their was noone great around to fight. So what we have now is less than competitive matches, with indersized fighters who lack the skills or at least the heart needed to challenge them. The heavyweight division is just going through a depression right now, it will come back to being in the spotlight again. Another great heavyweight is always on the horizon.

Anyone can be beat if the run into the wrong guy. Wlad has already lost 3 times, and all 3 times were to guys he was supposed to walk all over. It will be very hard to beat either of those two though.

When arrogance meets ignorance, the result is crushing... Klitschos are B level fighters? Name me other two B level fighters utterly crushing a division for almost a decade, including about 10 former or future titleholders, amateur standouts, all styles, shapes, sizes, producing KOs or shutouts every time!

Wlad picking up the same amateur (Olympic gold) and pro (lineal championship) titles Ali, Frazier, Foreman and Lewis once held is... B-level?

I didn't even see that comment. How the hell are the Klitschkos B-level? What does it take to be A-level if they're B-level?

People diss Haye, Povetkin and Solis, but one of these guys will defeat them.

They are clearly the best behind the brothers, and it has made me laugh when Haye has been dismissed (lineal champ at cruiser and then further unified, beats Valiuev comprehensively (unless you can't score a fight, then it was 'close')), when Solis has been dismissed (one of the best heavy ams in history) and, to a lesser extent, Povetkin (who has simply been moved too quickly, which is why he's pausing on the IBF mandatory).

These are three excellent fighters, certainly I'd back Haye and Solis to beat VK right now (watch the Johnson fight, for goodness sake - it would take quite something for him to get back to his best) and Wlad's style is beatable if guys with reasonable style, speed and power can get near. Haye, for example, is not a small heavy, but an average sized one who starved himself to cruiser.

The Klits are good, not great. These three are also good, and anyone who thinks that the likes of Chambers, Arreola and Johnson would beat any of the five are just plain mad and are thinking 'styles make fights' rather than simply looking at the quality of the fighter.

'Styles make fights' is really only important if they're fairly close in quality.

Many of the heavyweight challengers of today pick up boxing at a late age. It seems that most heavyweights are big guys that just couldn't cut it in other sports. The thing about boxing is that it's the only sport where you can become a professional without having to be any good. They throw a guy in there, pad up his record, make some cash, and move on to the next one.
To get good you need to start young, you need to be surrounded by good challengers. And you need to work hard. The Klitschkos had that. I think they are the last of any decent big fighters.

It's only going to get worse. There's no prestige in being the heavyweight champ anymore. Just look at whats not being shown on TV. There's no little kids who wants to be the boxing champ. Ask a kid who the toughest man on the planet is, he'll tell you its some ufc guy.

    Well, that's interesting.

The five fighters who, to me, are clearly miles upon miles above the competition had long, successful amateur careers and have been boxing since they were fairly young kids.

Three olympic gold medalists, a world silver medalist and the last (VK) having a hugely impressive am win/loss ratio.
