and your point... Vitali has had 2 fights since December 2004:deal
That previous statement was completely pointless

Not all Brits like Haye....infact id venture to say more Brits dislike Vitali than like Haye:good

I agree that Arreola probably does not have enough experience at this stage. Problem is HBO really seems to push for the fight as there is a lack of credible opponents for Vitali right now. Arreola could really suffer a damaging career ending loss à la Mike Grant in there.

The Toney/Vitali - Arreola/Maskaev scenario makes a lot of sense to me and would almost guarantee a sell out at the staples center. Now that the fight takes place in the States, HBO is back in the driver seat which makes it a safe bet that they will choose an Amercian opponent...

According to a report dated 27/07/09, Vitali is quoted that he expects and wants to fight Arreola in October. The report goes on that HBO has a strong interest in the fight.

Well, things look bad again for James and his chances to fight Vitali seem to have dropped again considerably. It is really sad and disappointing that an ATG like Toney can't get a final megabout like RJ, Duran, Holy, Mercer... and so many others did.

I hope the Toney thing isnt true.

Vitali wont get any credit for beating him, Toney is too old.

You may be right about Toney's adavanced age but Vitali is only 3 years younger... I still think that a deceiving victory over an ATG like Toney would leave a special mark on Vitali's record...

Absolutely, Vitali is old too now. It is also kind of strange that the Klits never fought an ATG like James Toney.
