Hey fellas, I have noticed here lately my knee is starting to act up again while training..Its my right knee so when focusing on footwork it throws me off or if I pivot too hard it just shoots a sharp ass pain like its gonna giv out..I am a orthodox but here lately I have been experimenting with southpaw to keep the pressure off the knee and I actually feel a lil more comfy with it..Even my guard and jabs seem a lot better southpaw..Do you think it would be cool to maybe transform into a southpaw full time but back to orthodox from time to time? P.S Have had the knee trouble for a few years from a accident at work, had surgery 2 years ago, but didn't give it time to heal right before I went back to training, orthopedic surgeon wants to give me cortizone shots in the knee until it needs surgery but I say **** that cas they are expensive, I am laid off, and they don't last but a few months.
Problems like this are only going to get worse. You do realize that don't you? Get it sorted instead of attempting to ignore it.
Yes I know this lol...I figure I will have to get the shot cas thats my only route until its bad enuff to need another surgery.Thing that kills me tho is not being able to perform at my full potential, just eats me alive knowin this but gotta do wat i gotta do..As far as the southpaw goes do you think i would be able to transform to that style since I am comfortable in it tho??Thanx btw man
