I'm not a big fan of laying and praying either.. but taking away elbows wont do anything to stop it.

Taking away elbows will make it worse, because it's much more risky to punch a downed opponent than to rain elbows on their face.

If elbow strikes on downed opponents are banned then there will be MUCH more lay and pray, people in top position won't want to risk anything that might cost them that position.

I love stomps and kicks to downed opponents. I can only pray those weak-stomached pussies man up and include them one day.

knees are fine by me but the kicks on a grounded opponent should not be allowed for opponents who are clearly down. kicks to the ehads offighters down on one knee should be allowed, knees also. case in point, vera-sylvia, that sould be legalized IMO

Myth, look what happened at the last k1 show,2 fights stopped because of cuts and a few other fights with nasty gashes; none of which came from elbows?

How many times have elbows that weren't hard actually ended a fight because of cuts?

Again, another huge cut, not caused by an elbow.

It was a knee, that didn't KO him, if you outlaw elbows you need to outlaw all strikes.

a lot of fighters design how they throw their elbows just for cutting, thats what its good for. that doesnt mean it shouldnt be allowed. the fighters know what theyre getting into when they decide to train MMA. knees, elbows, everything should be allowed standing, on the ground, mid sprawl, wherever people wanna throw em. there should only be rules preventing strikes that are aimed at joints or things like spearhands and finger strikes to the eye

I would prefer to see knees to a downed opponent rather the elbows.
