Around the late 60s early 70s although I did wear them, with the advent of Skinheads, they sort of owned and cloned the boot as a must have
accessory, along with short legged jeans, grandad shirts, and on show braces, mind you they were no match for your battle hardened Rocker vividly recall an occasion when 4 Skinhead's had the temerity to take on a huge bearded long haired Rocker, reminded me somewhat of a wildlife programme, where by 4 Lionesses were trying to bring down a massive hippo, needless to say neither were successful, tough lads.
