Someone help me out because I think the way boxing scores a knockdown need to be looked at

If boxer A is clearly winning a round and at the end of that round scores a knockdown boxer B looses s point hence the round changing from a 10-9 to a 10-8 a one point swing on the scorecard

If in the same round Boxer B who has been dominated scores a knockdown the score will change from a 10-9 to boxer A to a 10-9 to boxer B in current rules but this is a two point swing for boxer B how is that fair?

Surely the rule should be a one point deduction for the boxer visiting the canvas hence a 9-9 or 10-10 (in the scenario the boxer loosing the round getting the knockdown) if you want to keep the precious 10 must rule

Yep, its not "fair" in that respect. The other argument would be that in your first example that the round should be scored 10-7 to Boxer A. Rarely happens though......

Would often be a 10-8 to boxer b so a 3 point swing

It's not about fairness, it's about encouraging knockdowns and action
