Knocked Out - Can A Fighter Be Stopped...

Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Ezzard Charles, Roberto Duran... none were great.

 

I mean, Roberto Duran and Lennox Lewis. So the answer is clearly yes.

 

This is my biggest issue placing Lennox Lewis in the top 10.
He's the only one generally considered A top ten heavyweight
stopped twice by one punch by good fighters, certainly not
great fighters, or boxers known for devastating power.
(Unlike Roberto Duran who had the misfortune
of running into a peak Thomas Hearns who is an ATG
and known for his lethal power.)
Lewis without those shocking ko losses or with only
one could be easily justified as top 2-3 heavyweights
in boxing history. Both those Ko's also happened
in what should've been his prime years.
Now he generally is around top 4-8 heavy's in history
in my book. Spots I wouldn't argue about.

Thomas Hearns was one of the greats(top 20 perhaps)yet he got one punched by Iran Barkley.

 

Ezzard and Duràn were great though, Duràn had good achievements outside of his weightclass and Ezzard fought everyone,beating most of em.
