Because of Saturday's fight ending I wanted to make this thread. Huck KO'd Larghetti at the end, but the KO blow landed after the bell so it went to the cards anyway. There have been many more instances in wich a full on KO didn't count, got changed into a ND or anything simular. Here's the end of the Huck fight. [YT]c73S8ITWHg8[/YT] Here another recent one. Barthelemy vs Mendez 1, also after the bell. [YT]xTMchTfy-YA[/YT] Martinez vs Cintron, ended in a DRAW! :nut [YT]TQzXjMmb7w0[/YT] And there also was that guy that KO'd his opponent a split second after being waved off by the ref, can anyone find that vid? Feel free to add your own, and please real KO's, not someone you think (or want to) should be stopped on their feet taking a lot of punches to avoid wars in the tread
This one didn't count either (obviously :!, but should be in here. That sick f*ck Butler. [YT]P7Jz0HNgoII[/YT]
I was gonna bring this one up, though of course in this case the KO happened before the bell. The joke was the Ref grabbing Bute's gloves giving them the shake, to check he was able to continue, and then nodding the fight on despite the fact the Bute was still leaning against the corner post and clearly unfit to go on. Travesty IMO. If a fighter is unfit to continue following a KD, the other fighter has won. Simples.
And about 12 seconds after the final bell :yep Whatever the reason it didn't count, a very valid entry. Lot's of controversy. Can you imagine the controversy if the Huck vs Langhetti was the other way round! people would be screaming in the streets about German home cooking
Does anyone know if there's footage of this famous fight between the real TBE and jake LaMotta? http://cdn.sportsmemorabilia.com/sp...through-ropes-february-1943-14-t42845-500.jpg
Let's not forget Andrade's brutal KO of Lucian Bute, but ref "Uncle" Marlon Wright allowed him nearly 20 seconds to get up.
Abraham vs Dirrell, go to about 3.58: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOQOBj4gV0o&feature=player_detailpage#t=239
