Know any GOOD boxing movies?

Its about a milkman who injures a boxer in sparring and has to take his place in a world title fight, its funny as **** and has chris eubank featuring in it. Class movie mate

thats the first movie i thought of

 

some body up there likes me. Story of Rocky Grazinao. also Starring Rocky Graziano. Diggs Town , Gladiator,Undisputed, a few i can't think of. Resurection Blvd was a good tv series on Showtime.

 

The Great White Hope starring James Earl Jones. I believe it is depicting Jack Johnson, but the boxer here is called Jack Jefferson. Jones played the role very well.

 

triumph of the spirit starring willem dafoe. haven't see yet but it is on my 'to do' list. teddy atlas trained dafoe prior to the film. think he also had a bit part.

It's a comedy about a milk man/part-time sparring partner (Orlando Bloom) who after accidently causing the number one contender to break his hand, ends up being tapped to fight for the middleweight championship. Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn stop by to make cameos.

 

Nobody has mentioned this, but The Hammer is a pretty good movie.

Yea, I was pleasantly surprised by it.

My favorite is probably Million Dollar Baby, but, I understand the criticisms of the movie.
I did like Cinderella man a lot. The Hurricane too.
I didn't think Triumph of the Spirit was very good.

BTW, has anyone seen Shadow Boxers? The documentary about women's boxing and Lucia Rijker?

 

Oh, and I know you said boxing, but, if you haven't seen the Wrestler, I'd highly recommend it.
