I caught Facing Ali last night..It's a documentary, but it really gives some nice in depth talk from a few of his previous foes...Very good.
"Streets of Gold," is a movie that no one has ever mentiond. Heck, maybe none of you have ever heard of it. But is was a pretty good flick from the eighties. It starred Wesley Snipes and that guy from Heroes, Adrian Pascar, I think. I was entertaining, I think. I havent' seen it in 15 years, and it might not even be on dvd. Who knows?
No offense, but that movie sucked ass. It somehow managed to make the life of one of the history's greatest athletes boring....that's how I know it sucked.
Pulp fiction certainly wasn't a boxing movie, but it did have the Bruce Willis character "Butch" and that was a big part of the story.
I thought Will did a great job too but I thought the movie itself just didn't do it. It had some moments but mostly I thought it fell pretty flat for an Ali biopic.
Ricky Martin: The Comeback Story. I Promise you this is a real film. The title makes you think otherwise but that's just the name of the lead character.
He has to be being sarcastic. I thought the movie was inspirational. I dealt with some depression back in the day and that movie inspired me to get back to the gym. Will Smith did an exellent job.
