Nah not really weird cause i already had a belly full of booze before i got there and have chatted on and off with these 2 dudes over the years. Next time we'll get more ppl and more booze and we'll make sure its a place that has some music and chicks :deal
Sounds good. Doing that for 2 months would give me heaps for Japan. I've heard that it's hard to get accepted though. Some guys have told me that you need to know people to get in, or thats the case at the Hunter valley anyway (according to him).
Thats right. I'm such a scary mofo that big old teke had to get himself pissed just to settle the nerves before he was to meet me. :yep
Oh please, next time you're up this way the gathering is at my place, im buying the cartons, you're drinking, MSTR is bringing the chicks and its game on :deal Ipswich Express, TCW will be here aswell. Gonzo the rich **** will be shouting at the clubs :deal
My visa just got approved. :happy All I've gotta do now is send them my flight itinerary and it's complete. Just going through Jetstat now, and they're doing one ways to Osaka (don't do Tokyo unfortunately) for $318 before tax, and $488 after. Looks alright, but I'll be staying in Tokyo first up, so if I can find a price thats cheaper than that flight plus a flight or a bullet train to Tokyo, then I'll take that. Anyone reccomend any airlines? Gonzo?
dont fly with JAL, they are crap jetstar sounds good but might be worth checking a direct flight to tokyo because the rooting around at train stations etc will end up being more trouble than its worth, trust me. Japan is a nightmare if you dont know what your doing. I went there after year 12 and remember catching a cab from tokyo airport to my hotel and it was US$80. Ouch
I checked Flight Centre, and the cheapest direct flights to Tokyo was from 900 odd, I'm imagining thats before tax. I'm thinking of going to Osaka, spending a night there at a hotel and then going to Tokyo by the bullet train (which takes 1 hour I think). $488 all up is a pretty cheap price I think. I'll have to allocate a seat near the emergency exit though, because last weekend it was pretty cramped for a tall lanky **** like myself.
Ended up going with Jetstar. Couldn't get a seat next to an emergency exit (more leg room) though. I'll just have to tough it out and go for strolls down the aisle. If I would have booked my flight for a Friday or a Wednesday it would have cost me $300 more. I'm happy with $488.
its not that long of a flight so you should be ok, UK is much worse. Even the east coast of America is pretty nasty
Yeah, 9 hours isn't too bad. But I'd still prefer to have a bit more leg room, but I'll manage. If I get too frustrated, I might just go to the can and have a 10 km high bat.
:rofl:rofl:rofl you can join the "half mile" high club best i managed was copping a wristy off my ex on the way to fiji a few years back those thin airline blankets dont conceal much
i forgot on jetstar nothing is included - they should do; tight ****s. Other wise just take one of those inflatable neck pillows... way better than any sketchy little thing those ****s will give you. They are all i ever use now.
They are tight, but they're pretty cheap also. The meal + unlimited soft drinks option was $30, I took that. The Blanket ect was $7, I took that also. I dont know if a pillow is included though, but I'll probably get one of the ones you're talking about, as well as a sleeping mask. I didn't worry about the movies one (which was $15). I'll just watch **** on my laptop or play Football Manager. Where abouts in Japan did you stay when you went there? And any reccomendations?
went to Osaka, Tokyo and Kyoto. Had a ****en blast. One recommendation is to go to the Japanese baths. I went with a few mates and it was sick. You each get your own little bath room (which is outdoors, in the middle of the night), then you get in a robe and go upstairs for a massage (not the Thai kind hahahaha) and then have a proper cut throat razor shave. All the while you are drinking beer from long necks. And eating sashimi. Pure ****en indulgence
