A few of us did ask to make the Canvas Classics a sticky but we had no intention of this thread losing its 'sticky' status. I pm'd chucky who said he'd pass on my request, maybe another pm to reinstate this one as well. The classics has four of five stickys, can't see why we can't manage three.

Prove that i defended Chocs defences of those fighters, never said such things.

Its just Mundine haters turning on Mundine fans as usual :-(

I would break MSTRs hands with my iron chin.

With you all the way champ.

It's easy to bag any fighter if you want to bad enough. What gets me is those that choose to overlook the fact that he was playing professional rugby league and hadn't had one pro fight when Joe Calzaghe won his first world title!!!

Add to that the fact that while they slam him for his choice of opponnent, we rarely get told who he should be fighting.

Surely a real boxing fan would understand the politics within the sport. Sure the guys he is fighting aren't world beaters yet IBF champ Lucian Bute hasn't fought anyone flash either.

Does anyone honestly believe that there are a host of quality fighters willing to go up against Anthony Mundine? Would you want Lucian Bute to put his title on the line against Choc if you were Bute's manager?

Again I ask, who should he be fighting?

The fact is that there are only a select few that know what has gone on behind the scenes regarding Choc getting decent opponents. He wanted to fight the best but it didn't happen. What does one do then?

Also it must be remembered that he is fighting on a regular basis, unlike some champs that go on extended holidays once they become champ. Mundine threw Acosta in between the 10 months that seperated his Green/Soliman bouts. As for Hamdan, I remember when he was an undefeated contender in his prime and no one would give him a shot. He'll see this as something he is owed and will give Choc a harder fight than Tocker Pudwill gave Calzaghe.

Mundine fighting Clavero was in his best interest, he almost lost his eye. Funny how people omit the fact that Paul Briggs also used Clavero for a tune up prior to his 2nd Adamek fight. And can anyone say that Mundine fighting Nievas was any different than Calzaghe fighting Mger Mkrtchian?

When it's all said and done I doubt that any reasonable management team would steer Mundine's career any differently.

A quick glimpse at the WBA ratings... I'd rather see him face: Inkin, Brahmer, Haussler, Pedroma, Mendy, Pascal, Tsypko, Sanavia, Andrade, Bozic and Larsen. However, Nader is definitely a step up from the Argentinians Deep Sea Fishing Club that he's been bullying of late.

Not that I disagree with what you're saying, but how many realise that Pudwill was a last minute replacement for Thomas Tate?

I guess the difference is that people knew that Tomasz Adamek was coming up for Briggs. People are still wondering when Anthony's next big opponent is coming from.

As for Mkrtchian, well he's proven himself since by beating undefeated Jackson Chanet. I know who I'd be backing between Neivas and Mkrtchian.

    Well said Ippy.

Ajay, you'll find that theres many guys here who genuinly want to see Mundine go well. It's just that we've become frustrated at his continual lack of mediocre opposition.

The penny shall drop for you too, one day.
