Within the first minute of the first round. Blanco was doing an unconscious dance and everything! You don't play boxing! So many good KO's this year. Gassiev-Shimmell, Loma-Martinez, Undongo-Troyanovsky, Povetkin-Duhapas and MANY that I've forgotten:

Blanco has a glass chin, N'dam isn't a power puncher nor did he load up on that shot so the guy went down like his been shot I don't know. Hats off to N'dam though for pulling off the win.

    The rest were awesome ko's.

That was the most devastating response to an average punch I've ever seen.

It wasn't about the power of the punch, most of the time it isn't about the power of the punch.
It was about timing and the timing was right, he was hit in the top of the chin and he didn't tucked his chin, so of course he got knocked out.

Of those mentioned Gassiev-Shimmel is easily my pick. Gassiev is a true power puncher, he got his whole body into that textbook left hook, and the effect was devastating.

There have been many KOTY contenders in the last few months alone, the last few weeks even.
Just take a look at Smith Jr KO8 B-Hop and Indongo KO1 Troyanovski

Your right usually its the timing and the person being caught off guard but unless its a huge shot then usually the fighter who gets knocked out is usually throwing something missing and the other fighters catches him unprepared at the same time e.g. Canelo/Khan, Indongo/Troya etc, this was a simple one-two and it had Blanco going down like a plank of wood. I'm sorry that is the finest crystal glass you can find.

Everytime I see that Blanco ko in full speed it looks like a flop

That is a poor chin son, the reaction to the punch was comical

Reminds me of an Ali Raymi or a "KO KING" Singh highlight reel ko

Yeah BHop is an instant classic and With Khan it's like he said I've had two years off so in 2016 I'm gonna provide another spectacular knockout by walking onto another shot?

For Juan Manuel Marquez, Lomachenko is the Fighter of the Year and has earned the Knockout of the Year.

Canelo-Khan can go to hell. Khan has no chin and Canelo is too huge.

Indongo KO1 Troyanovski gets my vote because it was so unexpected. A great "catching lighting in a bottle moment" - if that punch had not landed, the overall outcome might have been very different. For me, proper KO of the year should be about "the moment" - and reinforce the cliche of "the puncher's chance".

Most of the other contenders were technically nice, but were done by a clearly superior fighter, beating an overmatched opponent: if that punch had not succeeded, another would have in a few more rounds. For example, Cannelo KOing Khan - aesthetically lovely but it's like applauding Messi for the style of a goal against an u12s team.
