Other than the obvious very strong contender of Povetkin/Whyte what are some others?

Povetkin-Whyte is so clear cut that no other considerations need be given. Unless Charlos/Spence/Danny/Lopez/Lomachenko/Deveryanchenko lose by one hitter quitter.

Agreed. Very unlikely that's topped. Still I'd like to see some other examples. KO of the year usually has to have a good story to go along with it. Povetkin closing in on 41, underdog, in hostile territory, down twice in the prior round - the KO itself being spectacular. That will be very hard to top.

The pool of high level fights just isn't there because of COVID for a diverse selection. Plus it's an uppercut KO, which is the rarest and my personal favorite kind. And you're right — the drama holds a lot weight, too.

HW might win most awards save for fight of the year and comeback of the year.

Helenius has to be out in front for upset of the year with his win over Kownacki?

Not sure who fighter of the year will be but Fury is definitely in the running. Covid has definitely narrowed the field for that. Will come down to zoning in on who has the best isolated win of the year.

Comeback of the year is almost certainly Gonzalez.

Especially accompanied by Adam Smith's commentary before the knockout...

    Unbeatable!

He was too busy waffling on about how finished Povetkin was. He literally missed the call of the KO because of it

The Joe George uppercut KO of Escudero was also excellent. Threw the right hand, dipped off to the left, loaded his hips and let it rip. Beautiful punch.

Alvarez was hitting Smith was some big shots earlier in the fight. I was worried for a bit.
