i agree that he was looking to set pac up and land that shot. But it wasn't in his plan to take punishment like he wass doing.

His plan will have been to outbox manny, and look to lead him onto the ko shot.

Marquez plan would have been to control the fight like the 3rd one, but just throw with more power.

But he couldn't control the fight like the 3rd onee, either because Manny was quicker and more motivated. Or because Marquez had slowed down.

Marquez vs. Bradley on PPV would sell decent as both are coming off wins over Pacquiao in highly discussed fights. A legit headliner, especially if you stacked the card decent.

Hes on top, he should retire. What if he gets KO'd on the fifth fight?

Atleast fight Floyd one more time(also hes biggest payday), imagine if he pulls that upset

i see why you say that.

And i'd make Pac the favourite in the 5th.

Although you do have to take into account, that pac might not be able to fight in the style that was giving him success in the 4th fight due to being affected by that KO punch.

I'd just make him the favourite, cos i think Marquez has slowed down too much now, and could be outboxed by Many in the 5th. But i'dstill call it a close fight, and there are big questions about how manny will look now.

I don't know. A war between two ATG and action fighters (Marquez is at this point in his career). **** happens. I think a lot of people are over analyzing it to a point. We only had 6 rounds to view and a **** ton was going on in there. Marquez was trailing by no more than 1 point thru 5. It's all meh when being analyzed to such a degree.

The answer is always some ratio of both options.

i'd give Marquez no Chance of beating Floyd. I'd be crushed if that fight got made.
It would annoy the crap out of me in so many ways.

Yea but, imagine if he falls to Manny, or even to Rios.

Atleast with Floyd hes an underdog, and will make hes biggest payday.

He has nothing else to prove, than to fight Floyd or retire. Maybe im bias because these two my favorite fighters :rofl

Stow his millions, raise his kids.

Probably this is the fourth biggest money fight in boxing right now. Turning down that kind of coin isn't easy - or even sensible. Getting KO'd for millions is probably well worth it even to a rich fighter. And he might be a favourite going in to this one.

i agree there'd be no shame in losing to floyd again.

SO for Marquez it would make some Sence.

The reasons it would annoy me personally, is because Floyds Fans would see beating Marquez as another victory over Manny and confirmation that they never had to fight. Which i personally wouldnt agree with.

And Also I just wouldnt see it as a competetive fight at all.

I think Marquez is at a pojnt now where he will look great against comeforeward fighters. But he will get out boxed by great boxers.

I agree with the TS although I think that Marquez was not trying to outbox Manny this time. He did that in III. This time he was much more offensive minded... and he was paying the price.... but so did Manny.
