I was joking guys... I hope a couple of you didn't take me seriously. Many fighters do that when they get knocked out. Just like some snore, humm, punch into the air, try to fight the ref... they have no idea what is going on. Normally, they are in a semi-conscious state and their body is just going haywire.

The brain whiplashes against the inside of the skull, and it usually starts shutting itself down as a protective measure. In this case, the brain's randomly firing signals down the spine and otherwise going haywire.

yeah, basically the brain screws up and sends signals all over the place.

Yeah, that's pretty scary when guys do that. It's always funny after they wake up, but you hate to see someone go through such involuntary convulsions. I've seen a few guys foam at the mouth after being choked out in the dojo.

Here's a good boxing KO. Have you ever seen Eubanks' KO of Renaldo Dos Santos?

    A knockout is a concussion.

You either wake up, go into a coma, or you die.

The true reality is that is what the fighters are trying to do
to each other when you go for the K.O.
